yep, he does look a bit like babera streisand now!

im working on better versions of the sun/ mandala, fuck knows when i’ll finish em, im a bit pissed now…

how / why do you draw? i was at uni doing some wank course, and now vj and draw when i’m not working for proper funds…

I draw because Im addicted, Its my passion in life to persue my love for art to the furthest degree. I basically draw eveyday, whether its just some small doodle or a sketch, or bigger piece.

Im also inspired by my dad who works as an artist, which is probably the reason I decided I want to continue with art and design.

Im just finishing A levels, so am really looking forward to starting an Art Foundation course later this year.

Check the Art, creativity, and music forum, I just posted some of my personal drawings in there. Hope you like them.

sound. i did my foundation at kingston, and it was the best art course ive done. i made a bad choice, art wise for uni, at bristol, but the campus and city were sweet as. be well careful when choosing a uni course (if ur gonna), they will blag you if they think your work is good. its well daunting looking at that massive ucas book, but the prep will be worth it.

i dont blame you for being cagey about graf, i dont think anything ive done is still up atm, so im not too worried, still wouldnt post the illegal stuff online tho

where abouts are you in britain?

Im down in London, been here all my life and I still love it. Good scene for almost anything here – music, art, graff, etc..
Might be nice to go to some other city at some point though.

Ive been looking forward to foundation for a long time now, finally away from those last academic subjects and fuckin essays. It will be good to have a single focus on art for once.

cheers lads for spending the time to do those designs. i liked the sun in the back ground of use’s…….however i wasnt too keen on the text…however the colaberation of the sun behind heat_blitz’s pic looks fucking cool, and i with out a dought want that made. if either of you two could make that for us we’ll pay your materials and abit extra to say thanks.

Well Ive never actually made a banner before, but Id enjoy giving it a go.

What sort of size would you want it made?

I wouldnt have a clue on material cost until I actually had the paint.

I might possibly have some free time to make it at the end of may, I just have to finish a couple of exams in the meantime.

Ill wait and see what Use’s opinions are on the actual production of it, because I think hes made one before.

size and materials im realy not fused about…..we’ve already got something to hang infront of the decks and that so any size is good. maybe 2 meters across and 1.5 meters up…..il have to ask jason and chunk what they think.

and materials a bed sheet would do! thats what confusion have used and theirs is plenty good enough.

nice one andy, i should say that the sun and text were just a rough design that i was working on, muy housemate asked what you thought of it, andf so iposted it so i would know i was on the right lines.

sound, blitz, if you wanna make it thats cool, but what i propose is that you finish your designs and i’ll finish the sun, and in a month or so you can come down to mine, ive got loads of room, and we can properly collaborate.

the problem with banners is they are treated well badly, as they are packed up by fucked people, and kept in wierd places, and even get danced on occasionally. also if the material is moving the whole time it can crack some paint. fortunately acrylic / spray paint is easiest and cheap as. material needs to be fairly good quality, as it may rip…im not sure how to prime it cheaply tho, ive used emulsion and it cracked, and artists acrylic and it was pricey and crap. i think soaking the material would be best, or a latex varnish. fuck nose.

You mean painting each bit seperately then joining the two together? Or just painting it all at once down at yours?

Im sure you got the most space, I dont really have anywhere where could I paint up a banner.

Spraypaint might be hard for the size, so Id probably go with acrylic. What about fabric paints? My mate suggested them, but Ive never used them before, I always thought they came in tiny pots anyway.

Durable material could be a cutting of canvas. I mean a 2 metre length wouldnt cost much I reckon. Plus canvas might not need priming.

(Oh yeh – I put up a link for Photoshop CS 2 if youre interested – in the tech forum, seems to have some nice features.)

fabric paint is not what we want, it too textured and pricey. would be good for the edging on aztk tho..

I thought there might be some heavy cost for the fabric paint, wasnt that sure though.

Well have to work out some time to make it next month then. I got msn so we can sort it out on there when weve decided on the date, materials, etc.

na its cool mate, i liked it, its definatly on the right track and has the right look to it (colours ect ect)

Hi guys,

I’m posting from Ireland where I plan to hold the mother of all feel-good nights in June….. I’m looking to chat with likeminded lunatics to help me plan a w’ender which will be called the BURNING SEAMUS…. obviously a stolen name but one that catches the eye…It’ll be an arty, warped, tastefull adventure into the dark realms of the west of ireland. All music tastes (within reason!) from techno to metal from ska to D&B….. burn seamus burn!

alrite every one yer cheerz for takin the time to make uz some designz and the one wiv the sun in the background lookz well kool but like andy said we mite need to change a few colourz and maybe the text but thatz not really a problem. so nice1 hope to get it made soon. safe
