Although getting the drugs from the toads doesn’t harm them the feds are wise to the practice. its not that easy to obtain the toads; there are various local wildlife/animal protection laws in place where the creatures are native. Although not UN redlisted there are domestic export bans and importing them to the UK/Europe attracts suspicion – you’d also need a load of heaters/lamps to keep these creatures happy.
You’d most likely have to keep an entire pond or aquarium/vivarium full of various other species of bufo spp. and probably other pets to avoid suspicion – wherever you did this would have to be large enough so all the species can all peacefully coexist). By the time you’re done with all that you might as well have built the zoo in your house…
To be fair if you can prove you can look after and care for all those creatures (especially those which can otherwise be a nuisance or are scary) feds worldwide tend tolerate it as many have respect for nature too (after all they have to deal with Weather all the time) However being a “nature loving hippy” isn’t an automatic exemption from drugs laws.I know a fair few who run 100% legitimate animal sanctuaries who used to be ravers and they are constantly being checked over by cops, Defra, RSPCA etc.
It probably won’t do the pet shop any good posting any more info here either as they will get hassle off hippy/vegan types which are numerous in nearby Lancashire.
There is some sort of DMT available in Blighty; at least in Eastern UK around 2009; a friend of mine was smoking it in a pipe. I didn’t try any as I was already full with acid, MDMA and mephedrone and had come up on the lot all at once, which was quite enough for me.
