  • ive alredy built a wicked deck stand. id never thought about using scaffold as a prop up. scaffold tubes are easy and cheap to come by, its just a pain to take down when your wasted.

nothing like a tube to get you wasted:crazy:

its more a case of the tubes (and planks of wood and sometimes sandbags or fertiliser bags filled with straw) being used to support the back of the rig and alter its centre of gravity so it can’t be easily pushed over, especially if the ground isn’t 100% level.

This is hard to describe in text but makes sense if you try to picture in your mind the setup (haven’t got any photos unfortunately). Its certainly better than seeing the stack go over (which I have seen happen before to a rig owned by some mates of mine..)

used to work with a hire rig and we had a scaffy platform we used to assemble at parties which served as a dj booth and somewhere to stash the amps in :groucho: too which was covered by a big tarp to keep water out and cami nets to hide it and all users raaaraaa

    was wicked :weee:

I’ve split these posts out of the nature thread as its a seperate discussion worth having on its own..

it started only about 4 years ago and certainly worried the rig owners

curiously “stacking” always seems a bit more agressive in SE England than in East Anglia..

my mate got a slap at a system down south for stomping into someone.
