We have sorted things out and its all good turns out he is so stressed at work the now its so quiet and he’s not making much money so he has been very stressed with that. And he wasn’t wanting to worry me by telling me. so i told him just to be honest that i can help him if he talks to me, but voodoomonkey don’t get married if u don’t want to and if your not happy don’t go out with ur girlfriend its pointless wasting time with someone u don’t want to commit to…x

u get me wrong, i AM committed to her i just dont believe in marriage, the whole idea of commitment being down to a ceremony and swapping 2 rings for a peace of paper is pointless.
I have a daughter with my gf, which is a bigger commitment to her than any marriage can provide, no bond is stronger. The bond i have with her through my daughter is stronger than any marriage, it lasts for ever……a marriage can fall apart in hours, even minutes.
9 out of 10 marriages fail
I wonder how many parents fail (by fail i mean not be there or help)

she spoke to his ex -wife in desperation to ind out if she knew what was going on – as he wouldnt talk at all or explain what was going on in his head – (him and his ex have 2 girls, married at 18 etc) and he had done exactly the same to her….. and other such stories rom other friends…
yeah the first person i believe as a character reference is someone’s ex-wife :crazy_dru
if it’s all going wrong then it’s because the pair of you need to sort out your communication
if you can’t do that between you then go to relate or a family mediation service
no-one is at fault but you are both getting it wrong

Hooray someone else that doesn’t believe in marriage.
I’ve been with my partner for 19 years and people constantly go on at us about why we haven’t married. They think our relationship isn’t serious!
i think marriage is a nice idea but not necessary, but everyone wants a big pretty wedding 🙂 and i like the idea of exchanging rings and such.

nope! :hopeless::hopeless:
not me, I dont really know where I stand on the whole wedding thing – I like the idea of commitment etc but you can have that without a wedding
if I was to have to walk down a thing in front of everyone – all eyes on me – I’d need a bucket load of vallium :laugh_at:
and I’d rather get my roof done than spend thousands on a DAY!
I like the idea of a honeymoon though :devil_wag:devil_wag
ooo yeah ^^ honeymooon. or the idea of eloping would be more romantic i think. at night, in secret. i just want an excuse to buy a really expensive dress one day.
serriously getting papers on a relationship aint that stupid if you have kids or/and been living for long while 2gether… people may pass away and the its good to be sure that you have that sorted out before your partners family stands on the door and starts demanding…. no need to call it marriage but name whatever you want…
