Yeah I don’t like that either. Not drinking king for several months is a long time though.

What is it like taking antidepressants then [username]? And how long did you taken them for?

I was on moclebemid (a MAOI) for 18 months… It was not what I needed…therapy was much better.

I am on Oxycondone and a rare muscle relactant from time to time. To kill neck pain and tension. Together with some alcohol it fits my bill…but both are in dependency zone so I take them with loads of care and try to avoid being on them as much as I can. My work and those two ‘meducines’ do not mix…so some planning is to be done.

…and I love portwine and blue-, white- and greencheese so me and moclebemid was not winner combo lol

I’m on Bupropion SR, Seroquel, Lamictal and Clonidine and whenever I drink I can’t drink enough to get drunk, I pass out first.. Stupid Clonidine. But when I was on bupropion and drank all it did was send me into a shitty few days where it felt like I wasn’t even on meds so I tried to avoid alcohol..

Some Alcoholism recovery support groups sponsor sober parties, where people are encouraged to get together and have fun without drinking. A recovering alcoholic may even consider planning a party like this of their own.

Drinking can counteract the benefits of your antidepressant medication, making your symptoms more difficult to treat. Alcohol may seem to improve your mood in the short term, but its overall effect increases symptoms of depression and anxiety.

After looking at some of your posts I’m starting to suspect you aren’t a drinker.
