I went to a Norfolk party recently and it was no worse than anywhere else TBH.
Yes, there are a lot of young teenagers there, and they do that “stacking” which looks like a cross between moshing and morris dancing.
But that happens in other parts of the country – and London / city parties are sometimes blighted by real violence and hate rather than over-exuberant kids accidentally knocking into you.
People said exactly the same thing about Oxfordshire parties 4 or 5 years ago.
they “played too much hard house”.
there were “too many kids”.
“their rigs arent set up right/have rubbish kit”
etc.etc…
and indeed that was sometimes the case; and as rig politics caused people to split crews you had lots of little cliques putting on parties within 20 miles of each other in much the same areas and pissing off the locals big time
but then the crunch came and the locals/cops clamped down (I used to live in the thames valley area and loads of my mates have had serious shit with the criminal justice system because of raves) – some are still paying off fines out of their personal income because they got busted on licensing violations…
so these days crews have to work together, overcome their personal and musical differences/rig politics and be smarter about choosing venues/logistics/organisation to get raves to happen – it is coming to the point where people will have to do that in East Anglia soon, if they want these things to continue to happen.
