I’d just like to say how happy I am to see this post here – we don’t see nearly enough info about free parties in the USA (a lot ogf the party traffic here seems to be big commercial raves) and its brilliant to see this being organised.

One thing I’m curious about as we don’t have this problem in England – why the over 21 rule at a private event? In England the age restriction on alcohol only relates to pubs (bars), off licenses (liquor stores) and other public places.
Teenagers can drink at home perfectly legally or at a private party ; provided they do then commit crimes or anti-social behaviour either at the event or in the streets afterwards/
Is it illegal for Americans under the age of 21 to drink even at home, or are you enforcing this rule more to stop kids getting too drunk and trashing the venue? (which is fair enough I suppose IMO.. as from what you say this is the first one in your area so I guess some people may not be used to this level of freedom..)
