I would have had a blackbelt in Hapkido 3 years ago if I didn’t start smoking weed 7 years ago. My pot smoking days have recently ended and now I’ve been “sober since october” and to be honest I’ve been enjoying my sober self a lot more. Got a groupon for Krav Maga so I’m plannin on picking up martial arts again in a few days 😉
Also I find sex to be better now that I’ve been sober for longer. The first two weeks of being sober I was all hazy and not really enjoying sobriety. Also I kept thinking about how the word sober doesn’t sound fun, so I chose to think of it as clarity (sounded nicer to me) But now I’m confident I wont be hazy high anymore, I’ve been accomplishing much more with my ‘clarity’ hahaha, but everyone is different. I know some people who do a whole bunch more than I do while high as fuk, but I’m just not that type of person.
I will say I had some great times with weed and some mushies though hahaha I would still do mushies if I’m in alone or with the right people in a spiritual place, definitly wont be going downtown the the aquarium high as fuck on shrooms again. Even though it was fun, wont do it again haha.
