The party at the weekend, what a tale…
After wandering around with young elretardo getting suitable minced all day we went down to wait on a bus out to the party location on princes st, eventually we realised that everyone else waiting at the busstop was going to the party, leading to a first class Party Bus! After much wandering through the countryside (elretardo was the only person who knew exactly where it was on account of knowing the area well + family living nearby) we heard in the distance the calling of the subwoofers and we knew we weren’t far…
Indeed the sight of a disused cement factory filled us with glee as the convoy of us trudged, skipped and slid across a boggy field to get there. The venue itself was an absolute beauty, massive big abandoned factory and when the strobes lit up the back end of the room (behind the system + vans) the old tumbledown machinery, gantries and walkways were eerily lit. Magic!
Apart from lying in a state on a pile of sacks for several hours and bouncing about for a while, I don’t remember much after arriving except in the morning when i fell on top of a pile of concrete boulders and sliced open my knee and hands. Meh, all was fine and I’ve made a full recovery.
What a way to celebrate my birthday weekend!
