what a nightmare! we turned up at nine to set up, and the club was deserted! the booking dude had screwed up and the club was closed for the night! the doors were meant to open at ten, but come ten thirty there were most of both crews millin about outside the club. peeps were turnin up and gettin turned away, when at ten thirty, the dude turns up to let us in. we station folks on the door to tell peeps were runnin late, openin at eleven. not only that but they didnt open the top floor from lack of staff…just as well really coz we didnt even fill down stairs properly. booo. its all about the prep and promo, we had lush flyers printed, but i havent been around for three weeks,and we ended up givin most of them out 5 hours b4 the event. truly shocking. i was trippin my tits of and went round brighton for chats and to stick my head in the sea after i had done my vj duty and handed over to the masses.
im not too fussed, as yea it may be free tpo get in, but there are still bouncers and pricey drinks and posey, money grubbing managers, so not really a free party. the nights we’ve done here so far have been phat, but complacency seems to be a native beats speciality. any way
