thanks for the advice glo, its important to remember these things.
i have been on the party & activist scene for years and know about levels of security & how to be discreet though.
there is a fine line between being suss & being exclusive & its something that has bugged me about activists for years – i’ve been at too many EF! gatherings & moots where people wail, “whay aren’t there more people getting involved?” and the answer is obvious, due to people being exclusive to the point of unfriendliness.
on the other hand my wife knows the location of this years climate camp and won’t tell me, which is right cause its on a need to basis and i’m not part of one of the core groups so don’t need to know.
you will have noticed i have posted about at least 3 parties in the last couple of months (surely what this forum is about?) and i’ve done it in different ways:
1. a legal party where i posted the publically available details about location, times, who playing etc
2. a partyline number, as a repost that MRSA happily post up
3. this time where i don’t post the number, the location or even the name of the sound system. derbyshire way can mean just into cheshire, lancashire, west yorkshire, nottinghamshire, south yorkshire (any counties i’ve missed?) yeah, it IS a big area…
