wise words
but i would rather sit back and play music to the revolution,
Thats what they did 20 years ago, it inspired the rave scene. the difference with today is whilst the youth didn’t actually riot in the streets, nor did they fight one another as much as now! The acid house scene started with Thatcho in power, who had just crushed the hippies in the beanfield but people used her own “free market” ethos against her (in fact maybe leading to her downfall!) It is hard to explain because the 1990s in England weren’t exactly like a “revolution” but there was a definite change – there are reasons why the “old skool” era is looked on so fondly. raves then were a mixture of old hippy culture influenceing the normal townie culture, not the other way round!
I reckon a group of young people could one day convince even the Tories and locals to let folk set up a small bike powered system in the forest if it were spun as eco-friendly safe entertainment. After all they had that Shakespeare play in there (the one with the bear, and it was the wrong bear too! (they used the American grizzly instead of the European bear :crazy_diz)…

Politics as a whole is pretty shit isn’t it. I don’t think someone could be 100% happy with a standing government. They’ll always be something going on that we don’t agree with.
I’d love to be able to not care about it all but I can’t seem able to switch my mind off from it.
Who’d be a politician eh (nod to 1984)
I seem to be able to switch my mind off from it. maybe I genuinly just cudnt give a flying fuck less as to whos in power, they all just want to be pm for a few years so they can get a nice fat pension at the end of it. every body is out for them selves in this country, thats our problem.
