  • I agree with you say, in that “Its a problem from wider society that is affecting the rave scene rather than caused by it”

It is hardly suprising though that people feel may supresed, upset and may feel meaningless in our society, when materialisam, greed and power are the main forces, driving people to conform.

Many people are in a class created Poverty trap, without no realistic means for excape, with poor housing and bearly enough money to feed them selfs.

The goverment imploys scandals and lies into our society, in protecting its own intersts, and not those of the people who voted often, in threatening schools, NHS, Energy, Genitic Enginearing, investing and selling arms and dead end low paid New Deal labour.

It is no wonder people are feeling more frustrated because of the way the Goverment undermines people.

Most ravers are OK but a small minority of peopel latch on to this scene and cause major problems.

inner city events are a different ball game. The violence at them is increasing – commercial events always had a gang element and now it is moving into the scene particularly in London.

Its a problem from wider society that is affecting the rave scene rather than caused by it; but its a problem that is having an adverse impact. People are getting angrier because of the other pressures in society; and unfortunately some of that anger is coming through to parties.

From squat partys which I have been to round some of the inner city’s, I have found that people from all walks of life, culturs and backgrounds are happy to intermingle, express them selfs and understand each other through dance, rap, art, music or simply through body languge or talking to each other.

People have always been happey to help contribute and help together, if needs be and comunicate together, if there has been a problem.

The rave scene is a channel for music, creativity and freedom of expresion to bring around a unity of understanding beetween fellow ravers and may it continue to be so, for how ever people wish to contribute, be it Painting, MCing, DJing, Decor, Rig Building, Dancing, or just projectcting good vibes

So yeah people are always watchin but no jonahug, the majority of people on here are ravers or ex-ravers but like atm23 put, coming on here with less than 10 posts qwarnin like ur accusing people of being imposters is just wrong u get me?

I am sorry if any one feels that I acused them of being an imposter, that was not my intention.

As I said in previouse reply to this thread,

“MY REASONING IS THAT OF COURSE, FREE PARTYS AND THE RAVE SCENE IN GENRAL ARE OF COURSE FREE FOR ANY ONE OF TO ATTEND.

THOUGH THERE SEEMS TO BE THOSE WHO DO NOT LIKE THE SCENE AND WISH TO STOP IT, CONTROL IT WATER IT DOWN, OR JUST INSINSERLY MAKE MONEY FROM IT.”

I just felt that it was a hot topic and one worth consideration amongst fellow Partyvibers!

I by no intention wished to create mutinte in the ranks of Partyvibe.

After all, everyone is entitled to there own opinions, Ravers, or not!

It should indeed go without saying that everyone is entitled to there own opinions.

Least of all for the “Party Vibe is a modern forum for open minded chat”, for people to talk about anything they like.

Also though, Freedom of Opinion is one of those basic, fundermental human wrights as stipulated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as a common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations, as outlined in:

    Article 19
Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.

I supose that when we Rether to a scene, we should question perhaps who or what started it anyway, or what seen, we are rethering to.

on here I would say its the UK underground free party scene, although the reach of this site has branched out a lot wider to Europe, the USA and increasingly Eastern countries…

miss moneypenny has cleared it with me that all the rabbits on here are sole agents, working on there own meadows, but ocasionally letting other cute easter bunnies come to the meadow

Right now I’m siting here with my missus wasted, chilling to some Jimmy Hendirx and reading the mad shit on this website-am I an impostor at this moment

i was listening to jimi today 😎

maybe we are both IMPOSTERS :groucho:

    Yess mate…confusion

It would seem that your scene is what you make it.

I always make a scene wherever I am Im a bit of a drama queen really:groucho::wink:

I would be more surprised if there WEREN’T impostors/infiltrators of some sort on this site, wouldn’t you?

But since when have we ever let that stop us? 😉

this site has been heavilt watered down in recen years to the point where there are ernest discussions about big brother and paris hilton ect etc. the usefulness as a point of information about raves has been eroded here, so now all partyvibe is is another chat room full of lonely poeple all trying to convince each other that they have friends.

while i dont deny that is a good thing, people need to feel wanted, it has meant that the true original purpose of the site has been lost among a sea of random people who have nothing to do with raves. i used to think that partyvibe could help rally together the socially minded rave organisers to do something positive for the scene, but i doubt any promoters would be seen dead here these days, its so sickly sweet it makes me want to vomit.

    RIP PARTYVIBE.
