Hi my name is portmanteau, Been raving since 92, DJing, putting on free parties and latterly producing retro jungle tracks. Obviously I’ve been heavily involved in the narcotic side of all that and recently discovered the joys/medicial values (for a rabid insomminiac) of eitzolam although if you asked me to choose between chilli sauce and etiz for the rest of my life it would be chilli sauce 🙂
Mt reason for registering is mainly to hear other experiences of etizolam and the fact that it seems to be on the way out means I need to find something else similar so advice would be gratefully recieved.
Looking forward to useful and possibly amusing discourse !

Welcome matey. We’re all happy to give advice and info, but if you haven’t already considered it you might want to realise benzodiazapines are no long term fix; in the long run you’ll get hooked and your symptoms could well worsen.
I should know; I’ve been wrestling with insomnia for over 10 years and been borderline addicted to benzos for nearly 7.
twice a week mainly after a night shift, quite strict with myself, but have splurged on occasion which does need paying attention to. Your warning is duly noted though

Good to hear, a lot of people ignore or underestimate just how addictive benzos can be. Sorry if I sound like I’m trying to parent you, but just watch yourself, they’re more-ish as hell and a daily habit is very easy to form due to the fact they can enhance performance rather than hinder so people don’t tend to take into account how often they’re taking it. But if you develop an addiction and your supply suddenly runs out; you’ll know about it.
What sort of dose do you take?
After a couple of months it went up to 1.5mg 2-4 nights a week and then got it down to 0.5 2 nights a week (my night shifts). This Christmas has been a bit wobbly with so much hassle of having shift changes, seeing family, but I’m heading back to 1.0/0.5 2 nights aweek. I have tried to get my head around the fact that to a certain extent they are an answer for my insomnia but they aren’t an answer for everything… balancing act.
It has occurred to me that 0.0g would be ideal, but I’m comfortable at 0.5 twice a week
It can be a bit of a tight rope act at times , I know when I had loads of the stuff it was near impossible for me to manage … started at 1-2mg a day and a week later would be at 10 or more … hell I like drugs…these an be tricky to get off of and should be treated with great care …. it sounds like you have a good grip on things which is excellent … I do feel like I need to add that detox from etiz while hard to beat is not as bad as most benzos and lowering your dose is also easier in comparison … It’s a shame I cant get these any more , there medicinal value is far superior than most other benzos ….
Good to meet you portmanteau
Good to meet you too 36 !

Sounds like you’ve firmly got hold of the bull by the horns; make sure you don’t let go. As Chambers said it is a particularly easy substance to fall under the spell of. I’m a regular user of Etizolam, but trying to taper it out without having too great an affect on my already erratic mental health. Not had any since Saturday; but last night’s insomnia and anxiety was crippling. Feel like shit, that’s for sure. I could take some and feel good for the next half a day, but for what? Just to crash again 24 hours later.
