He was all over the media when I was younger. To be fair his real life articles did not glamourise crime (in the end he got prison; which wrecked his marriage and health) but even the feds involved in catching him had good words to say about him which is rare.

that said by todays standards times have indeed changed (as the Indy article states) – a modern equivalent would indeed be judged more harshly by so called “alternatives” as a posh white boy playing off the NCA, FBI and Daesh against one another and worse I don’t think there are chaps around today who would be smart enough to do this without it resulting in actual bloodshed.

at least we will get some pot in Purgatory – we just have to look for the Welsh middle aged hippy dude in Buddhist robes and his mates (most likely of many other religions) who travel at odd hours to particularly remote stations of the metro train network – and then spend their time wandering about muddy fields talking to the geese and other birds and going fishins (the sort where they use just nets and put all the fish back in unharmed) or watching the cricket (or that is at least what they tell their wives/the other religious sisters :laugh_at: )
