Its worth being aware a party crowd (or any crowd) is judged by its “lowest common denominator”; and with today’s surveillance technology its very easy for cops to work out by monitoring cars and who is in them what “sort” of people are attending.

If a party is attracting the sort of scrotes who fight, rob and burgle their way through life and are not prepared to change their lifestyles the authorities tend to pick up on this (these idiots are usually known to the Police, or are the first to try and kick off at any cops..)

Often their vehicles are under surveillance anyway (or are just stolen!) – they can actually end up leading the cops to a rave, particularly when the stolen cars trigger ANPR systems on town/village CCTV cameras or in Police patrol vehicles..

TBH these scum are just as likely to cause trouble at parties and the scene can do without them..

Things may vary from region to region but I think we need to be pragmatic about what can still be done in 2007…. there may not be as many 3 day multiriggers but small friendly parties that last from Saturday night into Sunday morning will doubtless still happen

even with all the laws parties only start becoming “anti social” when they have pissed off a load of locals with noise/rubbish/bad behaviour. If these things don’t happen there is no real crime commited.

last year was a little grim on the party front i busted my decks didnt no anybody and well … it sucked (i moved house from chester to newbury a few years ago and its busted me mojo) 🙁 … but!

i have my new decks (ive been playing for few years now but living in newbury never helps!), i need to meet the people and get out there and play, as the dude said this IS the summer of the raver … :-D!!!!

so if anyone no’s of anything that may help me on my quest this year to get out there and play, dance and sing like i mean it, please help!

I moved home from chester to newbury 2 years ago, id been djing for ages and it busted me mojo when i moved, i lost all my contacts everything and well it mega sucked, basically i like my partys i want to play desperatly, i dj psytrance please if anyone can give me any help itll all be appreciated …. i was considering doing an RSPCA style advert asking for just two pound a month to get my djing going … it never took off 🙂

this is the summer, see you all out there 😀

so yeah if anyone can help me in anyway, introduce me to someone or anything … please do

If your in Newbury you’ll be fine mate. I’d say for summer parties you are in the best place slap bang in the middle of it. Should think you’ll be no more than 45mins from a party every weekend. See you there :bounce_fl

Gotta larf at the age of rave, and the age of ravers. My first party on the Cholsey downs was in 1991 – still going strong up and down the ridgeway still (A34 last weekend just proves it).

Then again.. riding the tube whilst totally “up-there” is kinda fun but I never end up getting off – so to speak.. oh dear, think I should stop there!!
