just to clarify ‘cos i’m a northerner, by “southern” i mean anythin below lincoln really…

anyways, if a lotta counties are on lockdown… then bring the tek up north! i read on SJ there had been one at peterborough, but i mean more north…

bring it upto north yorkshire/mancs/sheffield/derbyshire… certainly round here there is bare open space n the cops wouldn’t have a clue…

anyone agree? makes sense if south is vigilant n all that.

there are loads of good places in the north to party but i don’t think many people would be willing to make the long journey, alot of people i know get funny about anything north of birmingham which isn’t even really very far.

there are quite a lot of parties in the area you are talking about – i reckon there’s been one i know of most weekends since start of may that i could get to pretty easily – i live in manchester

i know there are many parties here…

i’m talkin about UK-Tek… the bank holiday big one. if southern counties put so much surveillance out for the inevitable bank holiday rave, then move it up north.

Yaeh could be a good idea! Unfortunately i dont think it matters where its gonna be(not that there is such a thing:groucho:) the police will do whatever they can to stop it if possible! They will probally combine forces from all the different counties and go and start a riot or something!
Actually might just not go to that one and go and brake the law night considering there probally wont be many OB about LOL!

i think that the southern crews are already being forced out of their own areas because parties are causing a backlash. if parties in your area are running without any problems, that’s because they are well run parties. not to take anything away from the tek organisers, but the backlash makes it harder for everyone to have a good party in their own area

maybe just enjoy the trouble-free northern parties??

isn’t UK-tek normally in wales anyway…?

my experience of parties has been vast majority 1 rig, with a few parties with 2 rigs, and 1 party with about 8 rigs, but i must admit i prefer the smaller ones, in the same way i prefer smaller clubs. by the end of the night you end getting to know pretty much half the people there, and its much more of a shared experience, though you don’t get that e shared vibe like what you used to…:cry:

yeah thats the main thing! i personally ain’t fussed where the tek is atm, as i got no reliable transport

just everyones always complainin about how norfolk/suffolk/essex/wales is on lockdown… thort i’d point out there are other places to hold the inevitable bank holidy rave 😉

Small might work and is much less stressful. It also doesn’t cause lots of grief and headaches having parties in the future.
But come on 8 or 9 rigs thousands of people, flicking your v’s up to the helicopter as the plod have to sit back and mutter about thousands of people dancing and seeing how pissed off they are is great fun. It is also just great being with so many people a welcome sense of soladarity.
But to the thread why not up north. Just people’s lack of willingness to travel. As a northerner who’s moved to wales it is a lovely contrast. In wales someone tells you there is a party and no one questions travelling a couple of hours or more. In Hull it was a nightmare to get freinds to travel asfar as say york or leeds less than 40 mins.
Guess its because your all greener up north and don’t like polluting this planet.
