TBH I think the “lack of willingness to travel” is nothing to do with the North or South – it happens down south as well and is simply the effect of market forces..
petrol is getting more expensive as is the cost of running a motor vehicle – people who drive (other than those who drive as part of their job and can often get fuel “subsidised” through employers schemes or blagging it) are finding it harder and harder to afford the fuel for “non-essential” travel.
also it seems more and more people today have weekend jobs so they have to leave raves a bit earlier, not just youths either, people in their 20s upwards…
