oh yes, drove 100 miles for the pleasure !!

Arh sounds wicked-not the burnt car bit- I’ve just joined this site after failing to find a free party in London this wknd. Can you believe it?-It’s a sad day when you can’t find out bout a free party in the bloody capital! It’s getting harder and harder these days for obvious reasons. There were 15 of us in a house in Camberwell well up 4 a party so after our ‘hotline’ failed we debated heading down to the Fridge for some pys trance. Good job we got too mashed to leave the house. Anyone go to the Fridge on Sat? What a waste of our tax and police time employing 200-yes 200 police officers to raid a club of mashed up hippies.

Our neighbours got burgled a couple of weeks ago- it took 1 and a half hours for the police to come. What is going on?

Anyone know of any outdoor parties, end of may (bank hol) It’s my Bday and I want to go to a phat forest party. yes yes

Was sweet. My first outdoor party this year, and my last till after exams. I needed the break though. Was wicked to see Aztek. Shame I fell into a k-hole on sun morn. When will I learn that it doesn’t mix with cider?

Cheers for letting me play a few tunes matty- always nice to play to an empty room!

    What a fuckin’ party!

Absolutely wicked party and loved it from when it started to 5pm, Monday, when we actually got off the site, and I didn’t want to leave then.

The weather was spot on at times and luckily it didn’t rain too much.

    Roll on next weekend!

yeah thanks to everyone that came, never would of been as good as it was without you!:horay:

was one of my best fucking parties ever! could of gone better considering i lost the key for the genny, so took barrel out and lost the bit for that, was amazing how both were found on the floor! phil and kar, you saved me, i still blame the mirror! he he

    rig sound fucking phat, a a a a

Best party so far this year definetely .

Had non-stop fun apart from being stitched up and car-ridden for a couple of hours on Sunday.
Good to see a bit of unity and the Norfolk rigs coming out. The crowds infront of both rigs were huge on Saturday night and Sunday. I’m guessing there must have been at least 2-3000 thousand at its peak.

Thanks to all the rigs and all you lovely people (except dave :toxic: )

More frolics to look forward to very soon as well. :bounce_m:

Yeh was an amazing party, pitty i couldnt have stayed till monday though.
Hoping to see many more like that to come.
big thankyou to everyone that organised it.
    :alien_abd

    PARTY: Illegal ravers anger villagers

AN ILLEGAL rave attended by thousands of people on a former Ministry of Defence site has left residents fuming.
Huge convoys of cars and vans began arriving at the private land, off the A47 near the village of King’s Cliffe, near Oundle, on Saturday evening. Chains on a security gate were removed with heavy cutting gear.

It is thought that more than 4,000 people from across the region travelled to the rave after details of it were posted on the internet.

Residents said ravers could be seen racing cars, drinking, dancing and lighting bonfires as a powerful sound system churned out loud music all Saturday night. The last of ravers finally left the site yesterday, leaving behind their litter and other rubbish.

Police officers were at the scene and kept a close eye on the situation, but said they decided not to force the ravers to move on in case disorder broke out.

Local residents say it’s simply not enough and tougher action should have been taken.
Bernard Howard, a member of King’s Cliffe Parish Council, owns an arable farm which backs on to the site.

He said: “There were people there who were openly drinking and taking drugs, then driving their cars both on and off the site.

“If they killed somebody on the A47 or on a nearby road it will be the fault of the police. All they were doing was observing, when they should have been stopping all vehicles going in and out, carrying out breath tests and searching for drugs.”

The land was formerly part of nearby RAF Wittering, but was decommissioned three years ago and is currently up for sale.

Mr Howard said there had been six raves on the site since the RAF left.

He added: “Why should we have to put up with load music all day and night and having rubbish strewn all over the place?

“This is by far the biggest of all the raves that have taken place here and everyone in Kings Cliffe is furious at the way it has been dealt with by the police.”

Officers from both Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire police were monitoring the rave. A police helicopter was seen circling the site.

Inspector Clinton Hale, of Cambridgeshire police, said officers had not sought to forcibly remove people from the site because of fears it could turn violent.

He said: “There were too many people there and we did not have enough officers on duty to deal with it safely.

“In this sort of situation, if we sent a team of officers in, it could potentially develop into a riot.

“We will, though, be collecting intelligence and will deal with the organisers.”

Inspector Hale said local officers received a call on Saturday from colleagues in Suffolk to say they believed a rave was planned for the area.

Within hours huge convoys of cars and vans were spotted travelling along the A47 towards the site.

Norfolk police trailed one convoy which had set off from the Thetford area and it is thought other ravers had travelled from Northampton, Luton, Bedford and Wisbech.

I would say that article is slightly more accurate than the bbc one.

I would say that article is slightly more accurate than the bbc one.

that is not just more accurate it clearly shows the level of survelliance that was in use (how would they know where the ravers were from, unless they are automatically checking numberplates via cameras?) and that forces are sharing intelligence across their traditional boundaries – it was a victory for the ravers but a close one..

matty and others; TBH in the wake of this I’m not too keen about the idea of putting photos on our gallery of this rave (at least not untill the PEL prosecution time limit runs out but it could even be a few months/years, need to check this out…)

as much as we want to share the memorys don’t drop yourselves right in it

why not just exchange e-mail addresses and keep them on your personal collections…

surely if the photos were edited well enough there wouldnt be a problem? its not liek djs can get done for playing. so long as there are no obvious “crew” in shot and no lisence plates, whats the problem? i’ll happily give them an edit if its an issue.
