true, but these scum were about “back in the day” as well – the rot was setting in in London parties as early as 1994/5 (trouble/gang activity) but it does seem to be spreading to outside the capital.

Perhaps though that overuse of K has desensetised people to the point where they don’t notice the increased level of conflict and even actual violence at raves (perhaps this is a vicious circle)

and as a few of the “old skool” peeps on here have mentioned, K was always available right from the start (after all it would be the easiest drug to obtain on the black market, as it is still used as a legit pharmaceutical substance!)

yep quite a few of my mates seen the insides of the hospital because of that

seriously though although the NHS lot try not to be judgemental and do everything they can to make yoiu better – every time they get otherwise healthy people in due to excessive partying they also send a lot of statistical info up to both the UK Government and the United Nations (World health organisation) about the wider costs of drug use and peoples lack of self-control/self-regulation when the nanny state doesn’t intervene..

This is why drugs remain illegal and recreational drug use is criticised by wider society…

There is a big problem with people literally hitting the bottom on comedowns and taking their own lives. Back in the 90s one of the girls in our crowd committed suicide after a K binge ….

I see why the slippery slope happens – I know quite a lot of people from party crews who do K deliberately to “forget” things, or to give them “courage”.

In small amounts it gives you a bit of “false euphoria” (rather like a low strength pill) and this is why many people do it (although once you do more you get the k-hole and turned over stomach :yakk:)
often its done to blot out the paranoia associated with the bald facts that what you are doing is illegal, can lead to you losing thousands of pounds worth of kit and no-one really respects you for it anyway (many ravers take parties for granted will just follow the next crew when your rig is confiscated)

but of course people do too much of it too early in the night – it totally fucks up the organisational skills of crew people so things go wrong and parties are more likely to get busted..

here’s a thought though; I read the crime news every day to keep an eye on how the authorities and the antis fight the war against drugs..

I read lots of stories about how lots of people get busted for other party drugs and go to jail for quite a while – but I very rarely see anyone in the UK get nicked for selling ketamine, even if its now class C (yet people are regularly busted for cannabis which is the same class)

Perhaps this is because the stuff is dumbing people down, and because of our binge culture it is abused to the point where it is fracturing the social networks?

I wonder if the cops are realising the value of their new backup – “PC Ketamine”?
