  • ok granted im very new to the whole scene but talking about the free partys online. isnt it risking getting busted?

or is that a really stupid thing to say ?

forgive my lack of knowledge of things. i will learn.

    very perceptive

once you’ve looked around the site a bit you’ll realise we talk about partying (and anything else) but no-one mentions future events

    that would be suicide

The thing is that no matter what udo, the police find out eventually……..A couple of years ago on New Years Eve, there was an AQMAZING free party in the little spa-town were I live, in a little (reputed) disused abbatoir. No advertising, flyers etc were posted – friends and family so to speak. and party was nowhere near residential or other area. As usual, party’s going well when police turn up. It transpires (good word for friday night) that a random chav mentioned it tohis mate in a chip shop and the police were behind him (probably investigating the fish)…………so it doesn’t matter how careful you are really…………

    whats a free party?

okay, I’ll take this one seriously for a moment cause I feel like rant :). A free party is, like free! Financially (obviously! duh! except the drugs of course, but they are extremely reasonably priced :)). Parties are also free in that so long as you don’t go around hurting anybody else, you are free to do or be whatever or whoever the fuck you want. LET GO! Okay, if you’re too fucking weird people might not talk talk to you and edge suspciously away, but no-ones gonna kick the fuck out of you or tell you you’re not allowed to do it. FREEDOM.

Like others said this site and others no longer mention planned unlicensed events; But its not uncommon for people to be able to hold an even in a bar or club without an entry price if the landlord or manager is sympathetic.

There is also a new license called a TENS license which permits a well-run event for only 21 quid – many crews are willing to try out if the cops and councils are also willing to accept the events and not cave in to pressure from nimbys or impose excessively onerous conditions.

Much of the party discussion on here nowasdays is about how to do an event without getting busted..

this has happened more than once. Cops (on or off duty) can be found in most places which sell food late at night..

incidentally in the old days when scanners worked if you got up to a high place overlooking city streets (like upstairs windows etc) and listened for cops calling “Code 04” (meal break) you’d quite often hear blues and twos shortly afterwards 😉

    welcome to partyvibe

hey thanks guys thats really helpful.

normally when ive heard about free parties in the past its all been word of mouth and just followed other people but it would be cool to get hold of a number to call so i can turn up mysef when im not in contact with them. see the thing is i live on the road in a bus and so i have to travel to another town to see them and get the details for the free parties.

    what do you suggest?

TBH many crews are moving away frolm partylines and doing everything by word of mouth now – best thing I could suggest is staying in touch with your mates or getting to know more people from crews from each party you attend!

People are paranoid about their networks being infiltrated by cops – sometimes the worries are overblown but cops have been known to ring partylines to find out where things are happening…

SE England’s scene has dropped a bit due to pressures from the authorities so you are not missing out on that much TBH….

BTW if you live in a vehicle you may like this site as well…

well I guess the people who are actually living on the road must only be able to access the site from places like libraries/cybercafes or when they find a suitable wireless network 🙂
