    I just bought myself a small set of new kitchen knives…….

    What do you guys all use in your kitchens?

    Full set of Global knives, got them a few years ago and cost a bloody fortune.

      I use these Tramontina knives

      They are very good and the steel goes all way through the shaft

      There’s a good finger stopper on it (your fingers don’t slip on the blade)

      [Not sure what it’s called]

      I use a large kitchen devil but the number one cook here has a set of sabatiers given to us by a very good friend

      I did an NVQ 1/2 in catering skills when i was sixteen in brighton… lost all my knives over the years

      Got a couple of good ones still

      Got a few Globals that were given to me by a chef I used to work with and a pile of Sabatier

      When i was cheffing one of my trainees came in all excited he just bought a case of global knives cheap from a bloke who turned up at the pub.

      Fakes and the quality was awful, went blunt really quick and were a bitch to keep sharp.

      I used to only use global’s as my dad has a full set but I’ve really gone off them.

      The small knives are really poorly designed. They still have shit hot blades but they are not worth the money you pay. I tried the posches and they are actually really nice, preferred a few of them.

      In the end though its all about the Tojiro, ridiculously expensive but a dream to use in every single way.

      my bro used to have some global ones, fook knows what he paid for them but he was pretty pissed off when he left em at his old work and they went missing,

      not being a chef , i dont know, but is theyre really that much point in forking out for good ones? i just thought my bro was being anal.

      i had shit knives as where i used to work payed me fuck all .. i told them that if they want things cut nicely then they would have to pay me more to get better knives or suply them.. lol .. they was like well do your best .. so i did >.< .. fucking cheep scates :laugh_at:
