Will possibly come along if its in oxfordshire and is likely to have a freindly crowd and good tunes. alot of legal nights seem to be getting a bit violent lately.
Its good how at raves there little if not no secrurity or athourity at these partys(althuogh i’m sure the rig crews are responsible most of the time and make sure they will be able sort out trouble.) But yet things are so much more relaxed, obviously there are some bad apples but i have only actually witnessed real trouble once by the local rude boys(doubt they even new what a free party was all about.) But nothing compared to some of the nights at clubs/bars/halls. BangWallop CUNT! Bottle, police night over everyone go home.
Sorry a bit negative but i’m sure as long as it’s well planned and advertised you could have a wicked party in oxfordshire area.raaa raaa raaa
I’d be quite happy to pay a fiver, beats paying 5 quid to get in to a shitty local club when your forced to listen to Flip & Fill.
I got told by a woman at work that Stowmarket was like a warzone at weekends due to trouble in town when the clubs chuck out (is it really that bad?)
How come no one’s picked up on the fact that 2am isn’t exactly late!
Any SJ types (part from meltdown obv!) see that, and they would have a field day! I mean, i know we are the fluffy end of the party scene, but really.
So i’ll start us off…:groucho:
2am isn’t late, mate. i’m gonna assume u meant 2pm, or somethin… Good grief!:hopeless:

I think everybody does realise that its early but the sad truth is thats all people are getting in many areas other than inner cities – there has been a massive backlash against the late(r) licenses thanks partly to the anti drugs lobby but also due to the scum who prey on the legal event scene and cause trouble.
where I live, our biggest nightclub in town with the latest license got closed because UK garage scum gangsters shot the place up
one person dead, 4 injured, club closed down by feds and council, bloke what owns it might go bankrupt and 50 jobs lost…
This is the image dance music has across the nation – because of the drugs angle it is associated with gangsters etc and lets face it there are a few about – so fewer business owners are willing to take the risks..
it will always be the case for as long as drugs are illegal..
fair enough 2am aint that late but try telling that to the local grannys who are using the hall for a coffee morning the next day (this actually happened to one of my friends who organised a party in a hall).
And anyway whats to say there wont be an after party somewhere:groucho: :groucho: this could just be the beginning.
Halls are often near “places of residence” and “the locals” are often very skeptical of partys like this, often i’m suprised they actually let a group of youngsters hire out there hall’s for a party.
But OTOH i do know what you meen 2am is a bit early for me. if a party ends this early i’m often left standing thinking “so WTF are we gonna do now cos i ain’t ging home”:groucho: :groucho:
in East Anglia they’ve stopped allowing hall parties in many areas ….
cops and locals have realised they are linked to unlicensed parties and because of balloons, empty wraps, baggies etc carelessly thrown outside the building they are aware of the level of drugs use…
When are people gonna learn to be a bit more sly! it’s not just other people their affecting, their stopping partys they and their friends would attend. Some people eh! On the balloon front i’m not really sure. Is it actually illegal to sell/inhale balloons? On a few of the websites they’ve started saying they wont sell to people they expect to abuse the gas (although alot of the still sell balloons:groucho:).
Our local village hall will no longer allow youngsters to book it, after trying for birthday parties etc we have discovered that they will not allow you to book it unless your in your mid 30’s and wont have youngsters there!
How harsh!
the landlord of the local pub used to supply the bars and staff for them but has since told them to stuff it as this is thier policy.
TBH they never tell you this is their policy but if you call up they are fully booked or have a booking in the morning, as i live around the corner i have gone to have a look and to my suprise the place is locked and nowone there evening or morning.
Its illegal to sell it knowing its going to be inhaled, but nitrous oxide has other legitimate uses in the catering industry such as whipped cream dispensers and its up to the suppliers to make a judgement over the intended use of the stuff..
if you and your friends obtain a load of N20 to share amongst yourselves there’s no offence being committed, but its illegal for you to then resell it to others to inhale as thats classed as a medical use..
what pisses off the rest of society more is simply the littering…
I know the littering has been a big problem in the past but i think people are starting to be a bit more responsible putting empty canisters straight in a plastic bag. I personally think doing or selling balloons from canisters is a bit naughty considering the amount of metal people get through (i know you can trade this in but i doubt this happens very often.) The big bottles are the way i think (as long as your careful not to fall over to often:groucho:)
So is it no way illegal to inhale then? Cos once i was doing a balloon and a boy in blue comes up to me a say’s “you’d better be careful son or i’ll nick ya!” considering i’d just done a balloon i couldn’t answer him propally so just wondered off into the mosh!:laugh_at: :laugh_at:
