they’ve changed the target because most of the main crews have had their rigs crushed! there was even a big picture of what was left of one crews rig on some police authority presenation I found online a few days ago..
however if loads of raves start up again the cops aren’t just going to ignore them as when they let them carry on they get complaints from locals and its a target for this year they must respond quickly to issues raised by the safer neighbourhood teams.
I was looking at the full police guidelines about what to do with raves (you can find them online) and there are loads of laws and techniques they can use against them, all it takes is for a couple of locals to call 999 and anything can be shut down. they also do keep some quite extensive intelligence files on anyone they consider to be involved in them.
there are still ways some people might get away with events (indeed I’ve even been to tolerated parties in Suffolk at the height of zero tolerance) but its increasingly risky…
I do get the impression a lot of people in their 20s have dropped out and its a newer bunch of young people involved in more recent events…
