finally moved out of essex [yay!], to rhosgadfan in north wales [few miles from caernarfon], and realising that i
a] know fuk all people up here &
b] am going to go mental if i can’t go to parties every now & again [used to london & all that].
so, know i’ll get the usual responses about keeping them quiet, but any suggestions / hints on rigs & that in the [vaguely] local area? or even legal stuff?

there was some parties recently as I saw a news report about them and the cops/locals moaning that people from North West England were “invading” the area.
Unfortunately though North Wales Police / Heddlu Gogledd Cymru are similar in attitude to Essex with regard to raves. They were also the first force to use internet surveillance to stop a party, going as far as getting an ISP (presumably via a Court Order) to disclose someones home address to them. This was as early as 1998.
In 2004 some crews from SE England tried to hold a party there and this ended in violence with injuries on both sides.
the only thing i’ve found so far is a dub night @ kendra[?] hall, but am really looking for some outdoor stuff, etc [can’t imagine there’s a lot of grimey indoor parties round here! ].
failing that, shall be looking into doing our own nights or something maybe…
also looking for any like-minded people who might like to meet up sometime…
i run a label releasing breakcore / idm / gabber / wonk / whatever & am into the generic sort of party stuff.
from what I remember when I lived in Reading (a bit closer to Wales and the West) most of the “legal” action was in Mid-Wales or South Wales. Maybe you could try dontstayin.com once you have got your head round the spellings of placenames :laugh_at:
