Do summat present the first of 3 monthly get clued up events:
‘get clued up bout Globalisation’
Tuesday 23rd March, from 7pm til midnight at the Green Room on Whitworth
Street. The event features music, film, fun and know-how with the common
theme of globalisation.
Speakers include Kenyan flower picker and worker for workers rights
Redemta Akoth… Hilary Wainwright of Red Pepper magazine will also be
speaking about her knowledge of the issue…
and Short films telling stories of how globalisation affects people’s
lives..
all this will be mixed up with manchester’s finest DJ’s playin an eclectic
mix of
funky beats from round the globe…
