that sounds like a mild stimulant effect though it could even just be caffeine. earlier in the thread poly mentions a “speedy” and “non speedy” version – I expect if people are trying to sell this stuff like mephedrone they would introduce a further stimulant.

even the decent MDMA found in this region about 3-4 years ago wasn’t that strongly stimulating and the older (good) pills definitely had varying quantities of dexamfetamine in them.

I’ve seen other MDAI trip reports of people falling asleep 2-3 hours after ingestion as if they’d taken benzodiazepines…

I started on speed before I took MDMA and could judge the effects.

in my old area in the early 90s some pills were in fact white capsules containing a mixture of MDMA and amfetamine (this the people selling them admitted to), also throughout the 90s there was a more speedy element to pills as opposed to the MDMA crystal (which appeared in the late 1990s)… I’ve heard other anecdotes from people closer than me to production claiming that speed was pressed into the pills…

the bulk of the active amfetamines would have been dexamfetamine as its stronger than laevoamfetamine, although street gear would probably contain both. (incidentally that was what the wavy line on the chemical fornula on the last set of mephedrone packs meant, that this chemical also exists as more than one isomer..

in the 1990s the term dexamfetamine was interchangeably (and perhaps incorrectly) used for both the d-isomer and the racemic mixture, as occasionally pharmaceutical dexamfetamine could be diverted. That said in them days not only did I not have know brainy folk with GC/MS kit even if I did drugs would have been too precious to sacrifice for a test…

dexamfetamine always felt “cleaner and clearer” than street stuff, though this may simply be due to the purity…
