this is not a “low key” way to do it.
Within seconds of your post appearing on here it ends up on the screens of the middle class British journalists at the BBC Monitoring in a big converted mansion house in Caversham, abut 60km west of London – where they say stuff like “Gosh! I say, those young Americans are jolly desperate to get hold of their drugs; just like we were in Blighty during the 1990s!” and then forward a copy of it (via GCHQ) to the NSA and FBI.
OK in reality they might not all speak like that and the surveillance is mostly done by computers nowadays (Caversham probably don’t always work weekends) – and it could be months/years before the info filters through to your local donut munchers.
Indeed it is extremely unlikely you would be targeted as an individual but the authorities would do at least some basic checking to how the locations of posts asking for drugs in any particular country/region match up with availability and/or the effects of law enforcement tactics; patterns of posts and their locations are used to clamp down on middle level dealers and steer regulation targeted at youth subcultures where drug use may be common.
The “low key” way is still the same as it was 25 years ago – ask discreetly amongst people who attend EDM events regularly and you will eventually find it. MDMA in particular isn’t much fun to do on your own without music, bright lights and friendly people are around…
