I’ve come to a conclusion, a brash one at just 20 years old: I DONT LIKE DRINKING.
It has taken me the best part of 5 years to come to my senses, sitting here right now after just 5 budweisers and I feel so mentally cloudy, I feel like I have shut off half of my brain, my thoughts are non expressive and my internal dialog is basically non existent.
Its such a stark contrast to psychedelics, WHY DOES ALCOHOL HAVE TO BE THE DRUG EVERYONE FINDS ACCEPTABLE.
Anyone else feel the same was as me? If so.. Elaborate..
Feel like I might be the only person who doesn’t like being pissed!
No I agree with you mate. I hate being drunk and dislike being around drunks.
I used to drink during my mid-late teens, mainly because that’s what my peers were doing, but once I discovered other substances I soon abandoned alcohol.
Such a weird sensation, I feel so unclean, there is zero mental clarity.. maybe you can relate?
I do enjoy a cold beer after a hard day, I find one beer does have very nice anti anxiety/stress relieving effects, but any more than one and I can almost feel the intelligence seeping out of me?
Me and drinking are as good as done, and I’m pretty glad to give it the boot.

I don’t like it because of the way it makes many others behave. If I’m not intoxicated myself I can’t stand most drunks. Also I don’t even like the taste of it, if I want to unwind slightly or alleviate stress I take a couple benzos. Much cheaper.
