this thread is getting locked as all its doing is making people argue and creating bait for the cops – even though it may not be saying much its giving away stuff like how people are getting hold of party info and who might have it and roughly where they live – all of this can be used against party people..
Swan – if you put your full email/MSN on a public board it attracts bare spam and that is also why stuff is ending up in your junk filter (I have removed the email address from your post)
Freefall – you haven’t been on here for a while and may not have been partying for some time so I can see why you made this mistake – but the days of being able to get hints to where an event may be before it happens are long gone now.
also, people with low post counts just asking for party info are understandably viewed with suspicion these days. They may not be OB but could be landowners, journalists, or even fascist anti-rave types who want to find out about a party in order to cause trouble at it (this has happened before).
If you contribute a bit here and chat about music, parties you like or just the fun stuff people eventually start to trust you and exchange info. Thats how we’ve gained a lot of new party people from SE and Eastern England recently…
In 2001/2 we could put partylines in posts and not get excessive trouble but there’s been 5 years of heavy backlash against illegal raves – those carefree days are gone and they aren’t gonna come back.
There are various private message systems on this forum and on your email/instant messenger software – please make use of it if you are going to discuss planned events….
That way you can all start a thread on sunday/Monday about how good the party was and how much fun you had rather than how 50 riot cops steamed in and confiscated the stack before it even had a chance to get off the ground..
