You can get yourself in extreme dissociated states with very high doses and still not be anesthetised so your body kind of does its own thing while your mind is somewhere else. Can happen with pcp too. It’s a very worrying thing to happen, the worse I’ve had is bumping blindly from a 2g bag of the stuff (no tolerance, only DXM experience to go by and couldn’t care if I lived or not enough to use a scale) over 4 hours, my body was throwing itself out of bed and marching me downstairs, I’d go back upstairs to try lie down but it would happen again. I was at the level of dissociation where it feels like your watching through your eyes on a tv screen (really hard to put the experience into words) and all i kept thinking was “why the fuck cant i stay in bed?” i had no control over my actions. Went on for nearly 3 hours before my body collapsed from exhaustion at 7am. Ive never taken the piss like that with MXE since. My experience was fairly benign but I could see some nasty things (read pcp horror stories) happening to people who don’t watch their dose.
