I have never been to any sort of rave or free party, dont expect you guys to tell me any obvious info about any raves happening near my area (im guessing atm you think im OB) But if anyone could give any tips on how I can get ‘started’ and find out about future raves and stuff. Im only 16 though so i think i may have a bit of a problem with transportation etc. Cheers in advance,

you realy need transport if your gona get to anything in the north west as most are in ver remote areas. theres the ocasional one in city centre manchester & sheffield, bradford & leeds but most are in the stcks.
stick around kiddo … chat a little 😉
o … and welcome to p.v :weee:
yeah welcome to pv m8ie … mby if you try going to a few legal nights in your area that might be posted here … you might get talking to some one in the know 😉 ..but as mr ahc said you will most likley need to drive or go with some one who drives as it’s only buy very good luck that a party will turn up on your door step 😉
nu-rave partys are well in
Aye stick around here bud, and get to know everyone. You’ll pick it up as you go, and you never know, you might get invited to something if someone from here is around your area…
Like everyone else said, try going to legal nights, although if you can get in at 16. Best way is to just talk to your mates and see who knows who. Or ask the bloke who sells you your shit, Im sure if he/shes a bit older they might be able to point you in some sort of direction if you havent got any mates that go to the free parties 🙂
Transport could be a problem though, best to just try and get to know people. Maybe go to a house party of the free party regulars of the area and try and get a lift to the next en!
Good luck mate !
Save yourself a lot of hassle and give up now. Rave is dead, its all riots nowadays.
Lol, and where the fuck do you go out???
I think this forum and 90% of its members are proof rave isn’t dead. Sure the next 20 years wont be anything like the last 20 years, but as is the way of life. Things change.
I think the problem is a wide variety of people are Into the rave scene sort of music these days, and enjoy going to raves and free parties. However, they dont also carry a love for the Ideals and principles many people who partied in the 90s did. Unfortunately the mentality of the youth generation these days is based on something different than it was in the last generation of youths. Much like that generation was different than the one before. It seems alot of the time these days people are too narrow minded and are busy “trying to be someone” amongst other people who want to be someone. You know, Scarface style. All about been a rudeboy as I saw someone put it in another post.
People these days cant take a look from someone else that lasts more than 2 seconds, without thinking they’re after a rumble. And its unfortunate these sort of cunts like the same music we do, and decide to cause shit at parties and give everyone a bad name.
People, (with you under this grouping) should not try and live the past, or think today should be just like yesterday. Its inevitable that things change, and being defeatist about it wont help anything. Its important to keep the morals and principles of a good party and try to live through the other crap that some folks bring to the scene today.
So Binge, the rave might be dead for you mate, but not for everyone else who knows how to go out and party the good way…
Yea but floging dead horses can be fun…..
Isnt that what May Day is about? A quick Riot then party all night?
:laugh_at:
Ha ha! Indeed. I was just fished for a arguement anyway! :yakk: I love the party scene, although I rarely go nowadays, and it is very heavy in East Anglia atm. IMO its all about the small legal festivals this year; I’m off to Dragon Festival in Spain tomorrow, and beatherder, bestival and latitude are def on the agender.
In fact, I would suggest to Dave to try and get some mates together and go to one of these festivals. They’re open to people of all ages, and most will have coaches running. My friends and I went to Glasto 2000 after our GCSEs and it was wicked!
Am thinking of trying to get something legal sorted for the end of the year as well………….
Here you are Dave: proof that amazing events can still happen (shame we had to go all the way to Spain to do it!)
