a few people have in small amounts until the feds shut down many marketplaces, but in reality its even more effort than getting it from real life drugs dealers, that effort involved often leads folk to buy dealer level quantities, and if it goes tits up gets then in way more trouble than the old skool ways of obtaining this drug would.
Even the USA seems to be a bit more liberal these days, and in Europe I’ve noticed over the years (and from personal experience) that if you are unlucky and get caught with a small amount of hard drugs for your personal use, the penalty is normally just a caution (a warning from an older cop who acts like your mum/dad and sometimes gives you a leaflet for a drugs advice centre).
however if you are using a computer with encrypt software and having illegal substances delivered to your house that are blatantly illegal may have come from a foreign country, the amount of crimes you can be charged with goes up loads. Customs and postal workers do check packages from abroad.
The feds will also confiscate every piece of computer kit you might own and search it for any other illegal stuff. Which could be very inconvenient if you are at university or run a business from home. Unless the hard drives contain genuinely bad stuff like extreme porn, It does actually often get returned several months later in one piece, but there could be any amount of spyware put onto it.
The difference in perceived criminality is that which could tip the scales of justice between getting a caution/infraction/fine, or sitting for some time in prison.
your family members might get the computer back before you are free (but the feds will be watching everything they do as some drug dealing networks are family businesses). In any case you’d likely have been expelled from education or your legit business will have collapsed due to reputation damage – as clients will associate it with crime/money laundering and fear that feds will be onto them as welll.
And even then you still have no guarantee the pills are not contaminated with that PMA stuff which can kill you.
