I just feel kind of disturbed seeing footage of thousands of Americans gathered at the White House, singing an off-key rendition of the national anthem.

I remember when footage was released of middle easterners dancing in the streets after 9/11 and Americans reacted with nothing but shock and digust.

But we sing when we kill their leaders. We stayed glued to the TV and cheered when Saddam Hussein was executed.

We’re just as blood thirsty as the people we abhor. So what if both men were cold-blooded killers? The death of someone that caused so many deaths, the death of someone in which we sacrificed so many of young boys should be a somber moment. I don’t think we (not sure if “we” is the correct pronoun. My fellow countrymen might be more appropriate) need to be cheering and singing.

I don’t know. I realize not many people are going to agree with me on that, but I just find it slightly disturbing.

hmm, personally i think its all media bollocks, they’ve spent like 10 years and millions of dollars ‘looking’ for him, and they won’t even release a picture of him. suspect no?

I can believe that they wouldn’t want his burial place to be made into a shrine and like a Mecca for all those who followed him, but still, no one thought to photograph this bold claim considering the circumstances? No one had the forethought to take a picture of the person that has been wanted for 10 years before they sent his body out into the ocean? Far too convenient.

In my opinion, he was not at this place where was supposedly killed.

He was either killed long ago, but his face and reputation was used a political tool to justify the “War on Terror” to the American public. Or he is still alive.

Personally, I am not even convinced him or Al Qaeda had anything to do with 9/11. I don’t think Osama is the person he has been made out to be at all.

I honestly believe he’s dead, a CIA cover up is not whats worrying me. It’s the way thousands of people were partying after he was killed, for sure he was an evil guy; but to celebrate a death like that is just so horrible.

i agree with gazza its bullshit the news said they pulled him out of a building on fire shot him in the head and dumped the body at sea lol what a story hey bullshit either they got him and are gonna torture him for info or they just havent but either way its far from over his followers will want the usa more than ever now

I agree with whats being said , osama and Saddam where both evil and yes its a better world with out them but they are still human and cheering and whooping at some ones death is a bit sick . Saddam’s execution was turned into a circus , i think that makes us as bad as them .

I’m glad as hell that he’s dead. Smug bastard was “hiding” in a million$ compound in a crowded city and thought he’s get to laugh the rest of his miserable life. Being of the human race is no admirable accomplishment; I would feel so much more compassion for a goldfish than for him. That anyone is complaining that he didn’t get a proper burial is absurd! The only burial more proper would be to paint him up like a clown, give him a donkey tail, stuff him with candy and hang him upside down on Ground Zero as a pinãta. 😀 and then let blind-folded survivors break him open. Now there is a tradition that he would deserve to have followed. Not realistic, but a girl can dream. Heh. /sadistic rant
