I heard they did get a rig taken but TBH I don’t think it got “stormed”; I would have heard about it on the local news as reporters like reporting on violence and conflict and it would have been a good story for them.

more likely what actually happened is that ravers slowly drift away (particularly as many people have Sunday jobs) – leaving about 20-30 people and the rig crew squeezing out the last of the party.

Remember that the heli has been flying overhead all night and is passing info and pictures of how many people are there and it will often be about several times during the night; also the cops on the roadblock may look like they aren’t doing a lot but what they are doing is counting people and getting pics and numbers

then when everyone is knackered and sketchy on Sunday afternoon about 40 fresh (and presumably sober) cops from a new shift turn up, surround everyone, nick anyone who gives them lip and seize the rig – its a walkover for them!

Perhaps it may be better to finish earlier and all leave as one large group; its worked before and cops can’t nick everybody..

apparently cops went in with loads of units from both Cambs and Suffolk and although not much violence they seized loads of equipment and even personal motor cars (not just rig vans) ..:yakk:

POLICE officers seized vehicles and sound equipment and made nine arrests after breaking up a rave. People began gathering for the event in a large barn at La Hogue Hall, in Chippenham, at just before midnight on Saturday (October 7) and at its height about 600 people were at the site.
Officers from Cambridgeshire and Suffolk monitored the event until about noon the next day when they moved in to disperse the crowds, which had caused damage to about three acres of crops and dropped a large amount of litter.
Superintendent Mick Gipp said: “We view raves as a serious infringement of landowners’ rights and we have serious concerns for the safety of those attending and the landowners who try and recover their land.
“We have evidence that drugs had been consumed by a number of people at the event and there was extensive damage to crops.
“Cambridgeshire police will not allow these events to take place in Cambridgeshire and officers will take positive action to stop them.”
In total, four vehicles containing sound equipment were seized and the arrests were made for offences including conspiracy to cause public nuisance and possession of drugs.

psy trance events in Londonistan tend to have expensive decor/VJs and security to keep all the scum from rinsing the hippies which requires money to get these things – ironically I’ve got the impression there’s always been more of a commercial culture on the psy-trance scene (or more merchandising)

but if they aren’t licensed and just random warehouses (even with owners permission) it probably won’t be long before people start getting done for licensing violations though.
