let everyone know that there’s gonna be a fab party this saturday the 24th feb in sheffield.
heated marquee (or however its spelt) with techno and trance in one part andall things housey and other in the other.
With loads of extras-chillout area, cafe, camouflage disco.

a party line we phoned the other week just had a message saying ‘there is a party, you’ll have to find the directions some other way, and if this is the pigs- fuck off!’

that’s what these people should do with that number. and don’t do the minibuses thing ffs

yeah thats true. the minibuses were plainly gonna be followed. however i was hopeful that i would be able to find directions somehow, cos mostly its goin to the clubs then hearin em. but i’m 16 and too young to get into clubs, so it’s a rite bugger!

Doesnt look like a free party by the way its explained. mabye the phone line is just a way of getting info about the party (mabye ordering ticket). OTOH i could be wrong and they may have just made a BIG mistake!

What a fab party, hadn’t been partying up north before but all was good. Well happy with the diverse music, shame the rig with the bands on wernt working very well. Do you think that pissed off farmer got any sleep?:groucho:

some please. what happened? we went to sheff from rotherham to get a bus that wasnt there so we got a taxi back past where we lived, cost us like £45 which was disopointin with the worst anoyin taxi driver ever. then we got there at like 12 and it wa still gettin set up…there werent any music for ages, then we found out bands were playin first before there wa djs, kin. the music that wa playin seemed to be mostly commercial stuff anyway and the little danger noise tent which was best thing about it was that quiet a mobile phone would have been louder, yeh yeh fair play to the effort and such, a mean, if more time and thought had gone to actually playin some good music and gettin stuff organised rather than a location and tents and such im sure it would have been a bangin party, i know the police came and everythin but i would have thought a bit of rebelioous action would have been taken and at least made the music slightly louder, i think without rich and nick and co playin some good music the party would have been a total disaster,…no offence to the planners or owt imsure you really tried your best i just think it wasnt workin at all. poor plannin and such…hope next party is more a success.

registered less than a month and only 15 posts(am guessin those posts are slaggin people off for whatever their doing to give you an ego boost.

unless admin say otherwise if someone wants to advertise there party in a way that they feel is ok then STFU. not all of the UK is over run with rigs and riot police on stand by. you will actually find some of the UK police dont give3 2 shit about parties while other crimes are happening in their cities.

any way rant over, just thought your posts could be more useful at this stage for saying ‘hello’ to people and not giving it the old FFS i know better bollox.

i wonder how long this post will last.

had this referred to a party “down south” (i.e SW/SE/Eastern England/London) that partyline would have been removed straight away, as people know from bitter experience things have got a lot harsher here.

It was left as most of us don’t know the Northern scene that well, and it had already been posted on another forum, and as already mentioned anti-party enforcement varies from area to area.

I wouldn’t say that the cops “don’t care” about raves – its merely because they have got caught up with other priorities (such as people shooting/stabbing one another) they grudgingly let them go sometimes, and are still always gathering info and evidence to see if it could even be used to prosecute people at a later date.

It might look like “tolerance” as parties don’t get busted but its more lack of enforcement due to lack of resources – when cops get more resources they will start hitting the parties hard, particularly if they can link them with “gang activity” or “organised crime” due to the drugs element.

Even if a crew gets away with it once its always worth them taking precautions so there is a “next time”..
