Oh wait, that’s what you wanted to do anyway. So it’s a win-win situation.
yeah, the commercialisation and popularisation of a well established scene which will rip it’s soul out is really a win-win situation.
as ive mentioned in other threads, there needs to be a ”too true” emoticon ….
“to hold a legal event you need certain licences … do any barns, warehouses or fields near you have them? and i honestly dont think your local council are going to like handing out licences to venues which have no way of passing fire requirments, have no reasonable emergency exit(s) …”
That is neither here nor there, if a rave was legalised, then it would be legal because it has all the safety requirements.
And as for the other remark:
“yeah, the commercialisation and popularisation of a well established scene which will rip it’s soul out is really a win-win situation.”
Do you even have any evidence that music will suddenly turn rubbish? And how will it turn rubbish? Can you spell it out? What if people like it? Are you going to tell the DJ what to play? If some local authority gets brazen enough to start doing that in exchange for a license, or if they charge too much, then it’ll be back to the old illegal raves won’t it, fair enough.
I’m going by simple semantics of “legal” and “illegal” when l said:
If you still want an illegal rave, then your rave will be illegal, so you will get what you want. And ppl that don’t want illegal raves will get what they want.
right, i’m off to watch me younger bro play his cricket match. will reply when i’m back :groucho:
Safe Boothy.
there is already the freedom to hold licensed raves and they happen all the time, in many profit making venues
but if you read the petition
The petition is for a nation wide release for the right to hold free parties for non-profit.
mind you, this is also already legally possibe, through applying for a temporary event notice
i don’t understand the petition really. not only is the spelling really bad, but it’s already possible to do what it’s asking for
:crazy_diz
mmmm … nevermind
and dynamic i ask you not to speak to me like i am a child
Actually yes, the petition is badly worded.
Digital, you started by chucking an f-word in my direction, or were you referring to bouncers having sex, l dunno. And erm, you were saying that you don’t want X you want Y. I was saying you can still have Y. You were saying that you wanted X to be Y for the sake of freedom, but X has the right to be X and Y will still be Y so what’s the fuss.
if you want that, sign the petition …
absolute bulls*it my friend …
^^ :yakk:
you took that bouncer comment as me being forward with such wording towards you? certainly not, maybe after making me out to be simple but nevermind …
fucking hate algebra, its exavtly the same as if they legalised the bud’, the government would rinse it for tax and wed be paying 30+ for an eighth
:apathy: forget it …
M8 scroll up l was polite until after then and even after then l never directed anything at u e.g. l never quoted u and then added slack lingo as if it were dir…. oh never mind.
Yeah l admit l was talking like l had an ego, l do apologise. I even went back and edited the bit near the end where l was being condescending cos l felt ashamed of it hehe. No matter!!! You’ve forgiven it anyway, thanks.
i have not directed language AT you, if you have been offended i apologise and ill leave this topic, it is obvious you want something much different to me and that i accept.
