nah i asked him if it was spirolina and he said no, supposedly better for you than spirolina. this stuff tastes proper wrong, like your eating the sludge at the bottom of a fish tank. It looks like a big lump of dark green charcoal, all the spirolina ive seen was just in a powder. forgot i had it actually, definatly gonna eat the lot when i get home, feeling pretty rank after the weekend.

dont do it mate, it sounds horrible!

For a cheaper alternative try Aquarian Goldfish Flakes. They are extremely nutricious and taste a bit like fishy knob.
    35% protien
    vitamin A D3 E
    3% fibre

think ill stick to my plankton. If its good enough for whales then its good enough for me.

ive still not eaten any yet tho… :yakk:

I’ve been eating the fish food for six weeks now and apart from an orange tounge, fishy breath and smelly burps, i’ve not noticed any adverse side effects. Infact i feel realy healthy. don’t knock it till you’ve tried it. sometimes you’ve just got to get over your intitial feelings and dive in. i did and i’ve not looked back since!
you can get round the initial dry mouth reaction by mixing it with organic goats milk (the flavours actually compliment each other) or mixing it with vegimite where you hardly taste it at all. enjoy!

how much of it have you been eating?

started off with just a pinch now and then. then i got to quite like the taste and i was eating it by the teaspoon. feeling how healthy it was making me feel i started looking for better ways to eat it like mixing it with other foods. now i’d say i get through about one 50g tub a week. that works out at about 5 table spoons each day. i get 50g for £3.50 which is 50p a day which is quite reasonable considering the health benifits i am getting.
I’ve been doing some online research into whats in the stuff and its a mixture of fish and shrimp meal (high in protien and omega oils) soya bean meal (proven health benifits) and spirulina (which has a host of vitamins, minerals and fatty acids as well as all 8 essential amino acids). so it really is a cheap alternative to fancy expensive health suppliments and i would recomend it to anyone!

fair play i might have to give that a go as well, 5 tablespoons is quite a lot of fish food to eat tho! reckon i might turn into a fish if i ate that much… I know its not easy to say, but what would you say the health benefits are?

holding my breath for longer under water and swimming faster 😉
