I’d love to say I have had a good experience with a copper, but for whatever reason, the ones round here (rural coppers, maybe they are too bored) are complete cunts who look for a confrontation and will aggravate situations seemingly for a laugh.
When I was younger I used to get really wound up by the coppers attitude towards me. Always talking down to me, pulling me up in my little hot hatch.
Looking back the combination of a young lad with a chip on his shoulder and a heavy right boot, and a wanker old school copper was never gonna work.
These days, I am more chilled, and I think in general, the rozzers are too.
Through my work I have quite a bit of contact with them, and those with the ‘I AM THE LAW’ attitude just look stupid, and even the kids take the piss out of them.
On the whole I haven’t had a problem for years and even at the last free party I went to, the coppers turned up, asked what time we planned to finish, said ‘have a good time’ and left. Nice.
yeah, i’ve been given directions to a party before by the police – their line was we want you lot off the roads and at the party, cause its safer for all the other drivers.
as for your mate khed, I wouldn’t be too sure. once you join the police, you tend to only hang out socially with other police and tend to get changed by the system – one good copper has got to be very strong to hold out against a whole bunch of cunts
dont wory i unterstand that 1 and will definatly be spending less time with my m8 whos joinin em!!!as alot of people have said coppers nowerdays are still just people with a job to do but i still dont like em!!!been good boy for a wile now but they still send shivers up my bak when i see 1(dont no why tho??)
:you_crazy raaa raaa raaa :group_hug
They took me out of there county about 15 miles.
right up to where the party was just did’nt want me in there county
this was in the 90s but could’nt belive it.
Dont expect it when u get pulled over you expect the worst
they have a funny way of the unexpected…:groucho:
when you become a copper it takes over, your social circle is between other pawns of the system… i mean, whilst their old mates might still speak to ’em and be pleasent, the trust is gone and your mates are wary of you
no wonder OB are often bitter sour cunts :yakk:

also there is a lot of competition within the Police and loads of cliques – they are constantly trying to find fault with one another as well, so they literally can’t trust anybody…
i went to a NYE house party a few years ago and as I arrived a friend said “don’t even skin up, there’s an off-duty cop here”. he was the new boyfriend of one of the people whose house the party was in.
he was awful, as I walked into the front room, he was turning the music down and loudly announcing that we shouldn’t disturb the neighbours (who were out, it was about 7pm) :yakk:
we had quiet words with the girlfriend and ended up all 30 or so of us going to the pub, then one by one pretending to go to the toilet / bar / pool table and dumped him there
he didn’t come back and must have a felt pretty shit getting dumped by everyone (including his girlfriend) on NYE. :weee: but it was his own fault for not being off duty
Even in high school days most of us always knew at least one person whom you knew always wanted to join the Police (or other uniformed services)…
But IMO anyone who was ever a raver or drug user and joins the Police must have had one or more negative experiences with drugs/party culture at some point, to make them change their mind in such a fashion.
Therefore it is not a given that they will even conciously want to “change the system for the better”, particularly if the bad times they had with drugs/parties outweigh the good.
theres a couple i know who want to join the police, my sorta age and a bit older. one is a bit of a nutter, just got suspended for kickin someone in the head a few times, the other is just a pillock. he’s harmless, but a wanker all the same and given the power…
bein a copper seems to attract these sorts of people n i dunno, i’m a bit worried about ’em bein given power and a baton and the law on their side :you_crazy
