  • the pel law is about to be admended I think next month or the next but I am not sure could be this month, so be careful. any advertising in the publIc domain makes your party need a Licence and when the admentments come in its no defence to say somebody else organised iT as rig owners, equipment owners and DJ’s are automaticly assumed to be part of the organisation.

the government are giving you rope at the moment and I can see that some people are useing it to hang themselves. thats YOur choice but everyTime a few rigs get cought and prosicuted It puts more off.

KEEP IT UNDERGROUND< keep it free if you want it to be public then you have a responibility to be licenced and insured

quite true. the only reason the authorities are being a bit lenient at the moment is simply because there is a war on – on the streets of baghdad, and now on the streets of Great Britain after 7/7.

There is a real danger of inter-community conflict at the moment in this country; cops have to think about dealing with that first before they worry about a bit of a racket in some remote countryside area or a disused building.

They may not always have the TSG available to shut down events as the cops are guarding the flashpoint areas in towns and cities; but this doesn’t mean they are not quietly filming vehicles using helicopters and video-equipped traffic cars, in order to prosecute people a few months later for PEL and other violations. Be careful.

to right GL but the OB do not even need to be involved a minion at the council checking a public forum, a farmer or local taking rig van number and if they can find a public advert that is enough to bring a case to court. TBH they dont even need that but it becomes hard to argue its public is you have made efforts to keep it private. if We keep a tight ship they will only go for blatent public parties IMO but if fools keep advertising and many fall foul they will try it with all, that is my fear. So do you want to be part of bringing the downfall of freparties as well as the increased fine that comes in with the admendments I am not sure but if my memory serves it will increase from 1,000 to 20,000 including imprisonment.

aye; we the people of the UK are very good at “covert operations” (particularly gathering intelligence info on rival groups, or monitoring/securing territory. that goes for middle englanders as well as ravers; and many middle england types will have served in the military or just be very nosey and with good local knowledge – they know who should and who “shouldn’t” be in an area at a certain time).

Why do you think many terrorist groups train their operatives in the UK?

The local who you are having a “friendly chat” with could well be checking to see how “public” the rave event is (conversely, events which clearly have been proven to be a small-scale private gathering have been left alone and tolerated)

However, I’m fairly sure that the maximum fine for unlicensed entertainment has always been £20,000 with the possiblity of imprisonment.

One of the blokes from the Essex crews has already served prison time for an illegal rave – the harsher penalty was justified because they were charging on the door, and the top floor had missing bits people could have fallen through and been injured or killed.

Some of you may think “so what- I can handle prison” and indeed if you are over 21 years old adult prison in the UK isn’t that bad for short stretches; but its still not much fun losing your freedom, and it will be extremely hard to find employment afterwards or even be accepted for voluntary work, you could be fucking up years of your life for just one night of fun….
