Hallo everyone,
As i’ve posted before i ain’t been free raving that long only since the summer. As i know most of you are of the hardcore elite…
Would you all go to a free one even if it’s proper sick weather or does it put some of you off?
:bounce_fl
i aint no elistist, but it depends really , if you know the locations gonna be dry then definitely, but fuck driving too far if its hammering with wind n rain and you got no idea if its indoors or some shitty little barn.
i went to a few parties in the cold and rain this summer and they were fuckin sick!
at one of them i fell asleep in front of one of the stacks, woke up soaked from wet grass haha!
i also went to a party where we had to wade throguh a massive puddle haha
and then there was shefstock……hahaha!
so no! it doesnt really bother me!
Went to a fucking cold party on the weekend! Does spoil it a bit to be honesT! Saying that if the venue is well picked it shouldnt matter! As long as you dont mind getting cold running from the car to the wharehouse!
we, done a party in 2002, in matlock, it was -10. well cold, but we still had 400/500 folk there
Bin to plenty of parties in the cold, it can still be just as fat u just gotta wear warmer cloths! If its in a warehouse, which most are in the winter, it makes no difference to me, bt sum bumpkin crews love their barns too much which can be a bit painful mid-december!
there’s a party up north (england) this saturday, but going to be indoor – PM for info
the first party i ever went to was a barn party and it was absolutely pissing it down, got covered in mud and loved every minute, still do!
TBH having fairly recently moved from your part of the country (which was blessed with a lot of empty warehouses) to a more “bumpkin” area I don’t think its actually a love of draughty old barns in winter, but sheer necessity.
There is still a manufacturing industry in this area (which is still in an economic boom) so most warehouses / industrial units are either still in use or don’t stay empty for long (and are therefore more closely guarded!)
it was excellent when in 2002-2005 we were getting fairly new and sometimes even heated(!) warehouses but the smashy smashy crew fucked it up for everyone (often trashing working plumbing systems :hopeless:) and now lots more places are locked down hard..
currently debating the pros and cons of going out for new year. lots of tarps and layers are definately gonna need to be sorted!
went out south of oxford all last winter, i thought it was gonna stop but it didnt, just missioned down every weekend to another party. lots of big barns and stuff though. cant seem to find out like that up sheffield ways yet.
