did you mean a Danish user? I’m not sure if many Danish open proxies exist and TBH its a lot of hassle to see something that would probably eventually turn up unedited on youtube or Indymedia anyway.
incidentally the reason you can’t see it is unlikely to be a “conspiracy” in Denmark but a political or commercial decision – they don’t want people who haven’t paid the Danish TV license seeing the content.
Last night :hopeless:
Gymnasium set on fire, inventory (computers, books ect.) burned of in the streets..Everything is ruined there..
I’m not sure how many cars were burned of,but when I went to bed at 4 am there were 6 cars burning in different areas of Copenhagen..
Fire fighters were attacked when they tried to put the fire out..
In the north of Jutland where I live 4 cars got burned of and a lot of windows were smashed.
Everything started peaceful last night at 9pm where a demonstration started..The police didn’t interfere. When the demonstration stopped everybody was having a good time..
Some guys were digging cobblestones up,hiding behind the crowd.
A big van was leading the way in the demonstration.. Think I heard somebody say..”when the music stops..your on your own” and stones were thrown at the police who immediately answered with tear gas..
And then hell was loose..Have been a terrible night :hopeless:
Just read on the news that Norwegian activists have told that it was German activists who started it all last night..
200 activist were arrested last night..
-more than 500 have been arrested since thursday

not looking good for anybody now….
I wonder if some of the demonstrators were merely there to cause trouble though, perhaps they even were from the right wing (fascists)?
people have the right to protest but burning the cars and the middle school [1] is extremely counterproductive.
I am not sure about what insurance laws are like in Denmark but i suspect its the same across the EU – and if something is destroyed through “riot” the insurers can refuse to pay out anything to those who lose their property..
plus although most teenagers don’t like school, if the place is burned around this time of year all their books and coursework for exams and computer data on hard drives has gone up in smoke
this usually means they get an “average” grade across the whole school which is lower than what many of the cleverer students would have got – and of course this has wider consequences when they compete for university or high school places…
if that happened to my school just before spring/summer exams I think it would make me become angry and ultra-conservative rather than support left wing activism :hopeless: (and I hated school and exams)
Isn’t this the type of school that the “cleverer” teenagers would go to anyway, so they are already going to be more likely to be influenced by “middle class” views?
and the other locals can now argue that they can’t give away a building for a “new” ungdomshuset as they need to build a new school now :hopeless:
[1] in English, the term “gymnasium” normally just means a place to do sports and get fit, rather than a place of secondary education (although the European use of this word is more in line with its original Greek usage)
Isn’t this the type of school that the “cleverer” teenagers would go to anyway, so they are already going to be more likely to be influenced by “middle class” views?
I’ll say it’s the kind of school where the students choose to be them self..
120 more have been arrested the last 4 Hours.. lot of them are foreigners..
The arrest houses are full ..
They are starting to send people up in the area where I live, and thats more 400 kilometers from Copenhagen.
There are 2 demonstration again today..One started from Christania the other started from something called Inghave plads..
They are now together in the middle of Copenhagen.. The police have asked people in the area to go home :hopeless:
Think Things will be crazy again today..
There are some clips from last night on YouTube but I can’t post them :crazy_diz
It’s out of hand.
But a lot of people still support Ungdomshuset..Lot of people have been arrested in Germany and Norway ..
I’m just glad I’m not living in Copenhagen..:hopeless:
yep thats the sort of thing I meant…. perhaps I should have explained it better…
these kids are intelligent, come from backgrounds where they are encouraged to think for themselves, and are at the formative stage in their lives when they start thinking about society and politics…
some might understand the wider picture, but for others they will just see their school has been destroyed by a bunch of “thugs”, many of whom are from other countries;
Their lives are disrupted and things they created such as their coursework (stuff like art portfolios etc which are often stored in class due to their size) have been destroyed…
this is the sort of thing that could make someone at age 15/16 turn against progressive thinking, become suspicious and angry of foreigners, and just feel that police/army are the best way or dealing with this, some (particularly young men) might even decide to join the uniformed services because of this…
it just seems so counterproductive, what they have done here…
it is really worrying as there seems no way out – I suspect the right wing parties of government and even the EU is putting pressure on Denmark not to give in as it sets a precedent for many other nations that rioting works…
World Wide News now :hopeless:

at least 20 cars have been destroyed last night..
Fire department was called out 50+ times..
At Monday Ruth Evesen will decide if the house will stay or go..
I’m not sure what to say anymore..
We have no Police in the top of Jutland anymore, most of them are in Copenhagen.. Things can get ugly here tonight :hopeless:
I dont know about anyone else but I personally think that this is damaging their postition.
The fact that al lot of the activists are not local is not good either – these guys dont care about how bad a mess they make – its not their home after all.

I agree with that..
I think that a lot of the foreigners just come for the fight, but the youngsters from Ungdomshuset are frustrated,I can understand them in some ways but not in others..
Some of the first who were arrested will be released today,I don’t think they have cooled down, they will be in the fighting again tonight..
A train have just been stopped and 40 Swedes are being escorted to back to Sweden again..
Of the 120 persons who were arrested this morning at least half of them are foreigners..
Have just talked to Sinner on the phone..
I’m soooooooo glad to know he’s ok :weee: :group_hug
The police have trashed a house in Copenhagen called Folkets Hus (peoples house) in search for foreigners ..
They didn’t find any, only people in the house was an old man doing some work.. The police didn’t have a search warrant and they have smashed all the doors in the house , emptied cupboards and made a really big mess and then just left again..Sinner is at this house trying to clean up the mess, and guard the house..
They have arrested a group of people who works for Ungdomshuset..
People who works as legal aids to the people in prison,It have been said that the riots will be very bad tonight if the police don’t release them.
The people in Copenhagen are scared, but most of them want the kids to have a place..
Sinner say Hi..
raaaraaaraaa
glad to hear sinner is OK
I see this situation too many times all over the world (at our raves in England too, also when big “poltical” squats are evicted) – unfortunately EU human rights laws they can all be overridden in this sort of situation as the govts say its “protecting public safety” and the police can get away with all sorts in reprisal to the damage caused by activists…
it worries me though some of the things cops are doing, it is as if they know they are inflaming the situation but feel they have sufficient force (and sufficient backing from the people in power) to break the resolve of the protesters
this is a similar situation that happened in England…
