Party Vibe

I’ve seen Thames Valley Police have to retreat from a large (but relatively peaceful) free party crew in SE England, but after that they busted fuckloads of parties later that year and have kept up constant pressure on all the events in that area..

they’ve probably already assessed everyone who was in the crowd and worked out its worth retreating, and will simply deal with the real wannabe hardmen / ringleaders elsewhere, just like they do with other mobs…

it makes sense though for the OB and news not to let this be too widely spread. not because the cops are that impotent but it invites people like the EDL / BNP to “take the fight back to the Muslims and reclaim the streets”….

the BNP are claiming credit for the first video, it is already being distributed via their site and across right-wing groups in Europe as a “warning”. Does London need yet another race conflict? its still not recovered from the 1980s and 1990s.

OTOH there are a lot of people around (OK maybe not on this forum) what if they see this video will say “fucking pakis, why can’t the cops deal with them” yet when the cops tried to stop the rave its “fucking pigs, why can’t they leave us alone…”

at least in both cases metpol decided to back off rather than have too many people get hurt, but this is a luxury we have in a rich country and as things get worse it might not always stay that way…

true but I feel that everyone should be treated equally – either the Muslims and the ravers are tolerated or both groups are dealt with more harshly… and people who decide to throw things at the Police at raves have no right to judge the Muslims (or any other group) for doing the same (nor complain if one some occasions TSG get the upper hand).

at the moment I think that we have the right balance in England – use the cops to catch the genuine stubborn thugs but otherwise allow a certain amount of leeway to protest or party – but I also feel if people continue to take the piss (whether its a protest action or a rave) eventually the rest of society won’t tolerate their behaviour any more…
