Party Vibe

Generally our parties get left alone by the authorities. Occasionally you’ll see a few patrol cars driving by, but I’ve yet to experience a proper shutdown the likes of which we hear about from south of the border. Parties around Edinburgh (where I stay when I’m not at uni in Aberdeen) arn’t hugely frequent, but you’ll get maybe 4 or 5 real big ones over the summer – a couple in a quarry and a few just on the outskirts – funnily enough, on the exact site where the beginning of Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘Kidnapped’ was set. It has a nice big hill overlooking edinburgh – perfect for those sun-up come-up moments, and bonfires a-plenty.

As far as I know there arn’t any free parties happening in Edinburgh this NYE, im in contact with 2 of the main crews – Pedigree Skum and Diverse Frequencies – and they’re taking a break this year. I’m planning on heading through to glasgow for this party on NYE but I dunno what it’ll be like, should be a laugh though. I know of a few dates that are being thrown around for parties within the next couple of months but nothings for sure yet. Next summer should be a total banger though! You ever been out to Cammo?
