The pint is that collections are made at free party to cover the costs of getting the rig up there, juice for the genny Etc. Parties might be free for us, but they aren’t for the rig owners!

Shefstock has had benefit nights to go towards covering their costs, and it’s a paying event. They should NOT be collecting at free parties, at least, not until the rig owners have done their collections.

Shefstock is on this weekend, 17-19 August 2007 for 3 days of music fun and camping!

Sorry for the delay in getting tickets on sale. You can now buy tickets from Airy Fairy, London Road, Sheffield until 5pm Friday 17th at the bargain price of £5! Please note that tickets may cost a little more on the door, and parking is subject to a £2 fee per car.

The party will be in full swing from Friday evening, with gates opening at 5pm. There will be fantastic bands all day Saturday and Sunday, such as amazing 10 piece French ska band La Casa Bancale, trippy hippy 60s sounds from Mojo and the beatniks, up and coming West Yorkshire rockers Cyclone Pink and many many more.

Beats all day and all night right through the festival, including Riddimtion, Sequoia, Dub Central, Junglist Alliance, Clearance Sale, This Way Up, Camouflage Disco, Industry Street and loads more.

There will be a children’s area, healing area, drumming circle, stalls, food and plenty more, and the weather forecast is looking good!

WE STILL URGENTLY REQUIRE VOLUNTEERS!!
Offer your services as a volunteer for one of many roles (stewarding, gate, first aid etc) and get your fee refunded – beer and food for extra hard workers! pm me to sign up in advance.

Please note that Shefstock is a private members’ club and is subject to a membership agreement which you will need to sign when you pay for your annual membership, which gets you a free ticket to our annual gathering! A copy of this membership agreement is available at the end of this email.

For those of you who live outside of Sheffield and wish to take advantage of the £5 advance ticket price, email shefstock@yahoo.co.uk *by midday, Thursday 16th August* with the subject line “Reservation of Shefstock Tickets” and stating in the email the names of the people for who you want to book tickets. Please note, ID must be produced to claim tickets, which will be collected and paid for on the gate.

IMPORTANT – SHEFSTOCK MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT

As a member of Shefstock, I agree to the following agreement:

Shefstock is a private members’ club. Membership is subject to a fee and must be renewed annually.

Members agree to follow the club rules at club events, which include, but are not limited to:

– Be nice!
– Where dogs are allowed they must be kept on leads and under control at all times.
– No parking or camping other than in designated areas
– No unauthorised fires
– No bringing of unauthorised sound systems
– No sale of alcohol
– People wishing to sell goods or foods, or hold stalls must contact the organisers first for permission.

Failure to adhere to these rules or this agreement may result in you being asked to leave and your membership revoked.

Simple ethics in life really, dont shit on your own doorstep, dont bite the hand that feeds you.

As for you ‘PM for info on sheffstock’ What fucking planetary mission you exaclty?! sheffstock is a commercial event and widely publicised so really a bit of googling should find all the info needed.

chillout man i dont see what exactly ive done wrong. the only reason i was bein secretive about it is because eleanor didnt seem as if she was speakin openly about it…my bad if ive got it all wrong but theres absolutely no need to screw at me like that
and as for the goin ons in attercliffe, im startin to see daves side of it n im beginnin to think that it was deliberate.

I can’t believe you have written this!
You know as well as anyone that Eryl and I both put our own money into Shefstock that we have never got back.
Shefstock doesn’t make money we barely cover costs which is why we have had to put our own money in.
We made the grand total of £10 at the Red House Fundraiser and we got £18 from the free party £8 of which was given by 2 people sat outside their car not next to any soundsystems and they said they really wanted to support Shefstock and that’s why they gave it to us.
Everyone who put money in knew it was for Shefstock not the soundsystem.
I honestly did think it had already been cleared with you but fair enough I should have checked before I started collecting.
As soon as you said you wanted to send your bucket around I stopped collecting. I understand you did cover all your costs (so is it profit you are after?) and we have offered to pay the amount raised to you out of our own money.
I also don’t understand why you are calling Shefstock a commercial event when it’s blatantly not. We are a not for profit group, no-one earns a wage from it.
All Eryl and I seem to get out of it is people slagging us off!
You do know this, as well Dave.
I am really quite gutted that you could act like my friend to my face and then so publicly slate me.
I would like to reiterate Shefstock has only ever lost money or broken even and this year after the festival, accounts of what money came in and where it went will be published on myspace.
How many other festivals, or party soundsystems for that matter, do that?
Does Inner City Techno explain what happens to the money raised at parties after the costs are covered?

I have already been named, and the police read these sites, which is why we dont say those sort of things.

The 77 bus is the nearest to the site (ask for Grenoside Woods/ Woodhead Rd) from sheffield bus station

Directions from Sheffield + Leeds

Turn left (right form Leeds) onto Norfolk Hill rd

Turn right onto Wood Head rd

Travel a mile and a half
