of course it couldve been organised better, but to be honest…im too light hearted to give a shit cause i had an extremely good time
the people at shefstock were all nice people.
the systems and rig owners were doing a shit hot job of entertaining the crowds.
there was no police (is that good or bad though at a legal event?(im not sure))
i was only there from saturday night
theres plenty of good things to say about it that are positive.
maybe if you met me spark you’d see that im actually and alright kinda guy who has a passion for music and parties.
somethin negative…..alright then, i thought the prices of things were rediculous and i think it needs to be advertised as less of a festival then that way people would be less dissapointed when they got there, the reason im generally not bein negative is cause im not a negative person n i just dont like to look at things like that
btw, there were police there cause i saw them on 2 occasions
TBH mate i was just bullshitting about the body found and the damage tot he car. none of this happened but hope the organisers read it so that it made them aware of possible issues. sorry to put the wind up ya but thought they’d stand up and listen to that maybe. now they can rest in the knowledge it isnt actually true, but something for them to think about maybe.
just read the posts about shefstock and am shocked about the lack of facilities (toilets, clean water, first aid..) am glad I didnt go!
thank fuck no one needed an ambulance or first aid!
Also no techno? THREE chillout tents??
I think next year the organisers seriously need to sort it out :you_crazy

Nope, definitely hard house im afraid.
unfortunately people do mix the 2 up, but when u hear real techno there is no comparison. trust me,. i aint even a techno purist but am sure theres a few here that will set the record straight.
now this is a form of techno, its all about the 303 the 909.

corse man id be happy to, id rather be on good terms than bad terms
think we need to stop tryin to prove eachother wrong really as well its not gonna get us anywhere!
theres a chance i talked to u at shefstock as well and we never would’ve known
heres a little map i made.

1.weird music/chill out, never got to near this as it looked pretty quiet.
2.camoflauge disco (house tent) great vibe going on here.
3.main tent, only seen band in here (would of thought this be the hardcore tent when bands not playing)
4.geo dome ‘dread cafe’ busy and nice happy faces with some nice funky SKA going on when i was in there.
5.glo stick stall, flashing lights, and a nice uv light to make everything look expensive.
6.reggae tent. phat sound system, lovely lovely bassline
7.mad hatters. hard house at its finest.
8. caravan cafe. proper nice chaps, charlie n co. met some old faces there too.
most vehicles were parked on the track on the right of the photo but was pretty much a squeeze to get down and those that didnt park on the track down the hill to the party were parked on the track facing the party and the field opposite. tents were pitched throughout the site as well as in close proximity to the event tents.

kool. see you on 1st sept. :weee:
i kno i have something planned 1st of september and im pretty sure its what ur on about….whats happenin?
i went on the 1st night and was in the mad hatters tent for quite a while it was fuckin’ bangin. started raining on saturday so we were like fuck that so i went home i hear it was pretty much a mud bath after that. you might have recognised me i was the comedown zombie wearin a grey camo hoodie in the blue saxo raaa
give us a shout if you saw us :group_hug
Nice to see people getting along.:bounce_fl
Foo, on the map, I think you have put the tents in the part of the site where most of the camping was. (On the right as you go down the hill.) Lay out etc spot on though.
D.
TBH mate that is bang out of order! There is ways of getting your point across without making shit up. Esp about someone dying thats just plain wrong i know the organisers fucked up but to put the idea/rumour in thier head that they might have killed someone as a result of their actions is pretty fucked up. Also the mad hatters were def playing some bangin psy-trance and the camoflage disco was playing all sorts of shit motown/house/ska/techno and some very very good breaks on the sat night.im gonna be out and about in sept so ill probs see you there! 😉
We got there Saturday afto and we had a wicked time. I’d booked tix to collect on the gate but they had lost the list, still they were friendly and relaxed and took my word for it. I was too surprised by lack of toilets mindyou.
However we’d gone equipped for shefstock as basically a slightly-more-organised free party (taken plenty of water+snacks), so when it turned out to be less-than-organised we weren’t too badly off – apart from lack of dry clothing but that was wholly my fault and not shefstock’s !! Saw a single policeman come and go away again, presumably just checking things out since it was (we hope) still licenced at the new site. I noticed the admin tent so knew where to go if there were problems.
Yeah big up the Preston Mad Hatters who really saved the show with their volume and energy through the night. They turned out a variety of banging hard stuff – acid trance, psytrance, acid hard house, plus other bits apparently at random ! A random bloke in there staggered up to me at one point going “ooooo, it’s so fast” ! We camped where we’d been told on the gate, on the bottom field overlooking the rigs. I think funkyfoo’s picture is of the top field where many other people parked/camped, we tried there but there were no marshals and the parking was getting chaotic in the long wet rutted grass.
I’m glad we chose the bottom field cos by some freak of acoustics we could hear PMH as if the stacks were right next to our tent, so got a good earful. We could also hear quality housy and prog stuff from the Camouflage Disco, plus the world/chill/jazz tent and the dub-reggae one, all mixing it together. Wicked!
For anyone else who was there, here’s a few piccies:
