samaratons, extra help st johns ambulance maybe.?
People like St Johns ambulance wouldn’t really be up for that as they i think still have an obligation to report drug induced incidents.
We had a group of people called crew 2000 at a festy we did up here and they’re drugs counsellors and first aiders they went round with flasks of hot chocolate and stuff and had a place for people to go chill out or if they needed first aid attention and they walked the site making sure people were ok..
Not sure if you guys have anything like that where you are.. but it’s an idea..

we’ve got the jesus army up north (no joke).
There is alaways more of us just confronation will put a stop to it & stand up for each other just show a big presence for any raver that is about to get it.
there soon realise that we aren’t on our own we come as 1 we go as 1.
Dont be pussys but remember no fists
Its a libaty a crew thinkin they can come and cause trouble when we are all there for 1 thing the sounds
Peace luv & respect for each other.
Just remember that when u see the person near you about to get a bosh he did’nt come for that he came to enjoy a goodnight and being wrecked can make it very scarry
When it all goes wrong for you. Stop gloating and help out alittle.
Its Like roulette who comes across these horible cunts.
but it happens.
Not that i want trouble but if its already happening then its gonner take alotta to stop the problem we don’t want our partys to be stop now do we.
If something terrible happens then we might be left ‘wondering why we can’t pull these partys of anymore in the near future.
Like stepping on egg shells round the ob.. .
Spot on ricky1. The only way to stop that kind of shit is to stand united. People who run rigs don’t come with a security firm. It’s everyone’s responsibility to stand up for the party whether its twats or OB.
Remember going to a DiY party back in the day and the crowd turning on some pykie twats causing trouble. Quick action and strength in numbers scared them shitless without it coming to violence. think that was a big difference back then….everyone was in it together.
I for one agree, Sometimes tho engaging the offenders in conversation and actually asking em what they get out of being cunts sometimes dulls their reaction times , Thats when you strike and net em and hang them in the trees. 😉 (Not actually hanging em just in the nets)
the plain and simple fact is that there are sum unscrupulous people in this world that want to ruin peoples fun im sure it was the same 10-20 years ago but this generation any litte fuk carrys a blade and it only takes one swipe to kill that is why alot of people get strait out of there when someone gets mugged aspeccially at a london squat party im sure we alll know of somone how has been mugged or beaten at a party and iv seen it happen many a time its not pleasent and so my rule of thumb is just not to party in scrutty places find a nice bumpkin party sumwere there still might be sum trouble but never as much otherwise i cant enjoy myself lookking over my sholder constantly.
peace and much stompage!
I was partying 10-20 years ago and also like any other youth in their teens hanging around on streets etc
youths did still carry weapons back then but the difference was no one wanted to strike to kill like they do nowadays as even if you actually hated someone enough to want to kill them you knew you would get sent to HMP and it would be boring and shit losing your freedom. I think people today don’t care as much, possibly because their normal lives are so empty/boring that prison life isn’t that intolerable compared to day to day existence!
the problem is in some cases scummy behaviour is coming across to the bumpkin parties as well (even if its people who know one another bringing their private arguments to the party).
I agree with what r1cky1 and cliffy are saying but the “solidarity” what was around “back in the day” doesn’t seem to be there as much and there is more acceptance of a “hard man culture” amongst some crews and more of tolerance low-level violence/fighting at raves than in the 90s
The streets weren’t much less rough in the 90s or early 2000s than they are now but during that time there seemed to be an unwritten rule that whatever beef you had with someone it was never brought to a rave, it was kept to the streets/estates. This attitude does IMO seem to have changed for the worst in recent times.
the big risk is that if allowed to continue, that eventually someone or a group who think they are harder will take matters into their own hands and execute a rival at a rave (its apparently already happened in London, one gang member stabbed a rival in full view of witnesses).
Then they will become addicted to the buzz they get from being the “big man” and the “enforcer” and trouble can escalate :hopeless: (and then the feds will clamp down even harder than they currently are).
same as what happens already on the legal UK garage event scene..
this would be a real shame for the raving scene as it should be a place of peace to lose yourself in the music! my dad was telling me about the raves back in the day and how times have changed since the begining.
thanks g lighting good to hear anothers opinion.

aye second that, good outcome! =)
i personally haven’t seen with my eyes any trouble at raves, but you’re always cautious about being around many many people who are high on cocktails of drugs and alcohol, but then again on the plus side, peole are there to simply enjoy themselves, they wanna get away from goin 2 a pub, gettin pissed and gettin in2 a fight………..
……………but on the other hand, i heared from a m8 a few years back, there was a rave in norwich (dont too sure exactly where) and there were these lads walking around with some pepper spray, try to rob people, as soon as aload of the usual ravers suspected thieves, they started defending every1 and told em to fuck off home!!! they apparently got in there van and tried to make a run for it, but sum1 parked there car in the way and people were lobbing bottles at their motor…………..RESPECT TO THE RAVERS!!!! LOVE AND RESPECT YA, GUIDE AND PROTECT YA!!!!
rofl .. thats the spirit :group_hug
Norfolk parties are actually the friendliest I have experienced in 17 years of partying…
I felt I could attend them as someone from “different ends” and also a non-white person (I know it shouldn’t make any difference but sadly it does in todays angry competitive society) and I felt really safe compared to many other places I have raved in. (I’ve also noticed East Anglia’s party scene is extremely multicultural compared to other non-London regions!)
I wouldn’t say they are 100% trouble free but its a different profile of incidents. Scum like overt muggers/thieves aren’t tolerated and are ejected as mentioned, but there is a slight problem with various incidents occuring between people who know one another, often domestic arguments or money arguments. If people could leave their personal grudges behind then these raves would be perfect.
i’m all for stoppin trouble at parties and will when i can
but to be honest its the same out of parties, if i’m confrontin someone i’d rather not be stabbed up.
Luckily when we go raving as a group if we see trouble, 9 times out of ten we’ll try and stop it. Luckily the threat from us towards any wankers is usually enough to stop em fucking about!
