the area has been caned bare in the last few years, it got rinsed from 2004 onwards with up to 10 crews taking it over for 3 days over weekends…
I used to live in Reading and regularly raved in that area but I could see a couple of years ago it was getting a bit much; people were not only raving the public bit but shitting all over other farmers fields and vandalising stuff, plus not all the rubbish was cleared up
now movements along it are now constantly monitored by both TVP and Wiltshire police forces as well as landowners and councils/Defra staff – people have actually got ASBOs for repeatedly using it for raves
in 2005 Thames valley cops notified the raves to the national unit that deals with football hooligans, terrorists etc and even stopped a rave by taking cops off a murder case; thats how much of a backlash happened
I daresay parties might still happen there but they are going to be smaller last-minute things… no one is gonna know that far in advance and people have had to become a lot more secretive nowadays
