    video_single.gifAnger over raves damage

Ooo look they are using youtube clips! I now see why posting them is not such a cleaver idea as anyone can view them………

just had a quick look at that..

didn’t exactly look like devastation, one busted fence and an abandoned chair

TBH the whole thing looked rather like the same sort of report I saw when I was in my teens, even the “ravers” they interviewed seemed to be dressed in 80s/90s fashions (maybe its the revival…) – if anything slightly more sympathetic to the ravers..

OTOH what numpty is handing over rave footage to the BBC? thats just bait… I know they nicked the second video from youtube or somewhere (which just shows how you lose control over your content with these sites) but the first one is marked “viewers video” which would imply someone sent it in

FFS if you want to all “see yourselves on telly”, learn how to edit videos and make a DVD, most newer computers are capable of doing this…

spot on… i think one of the problems with people carelessly posting videos on youtube etc. is that many ravers who attend these parties aren’t part of the wider community and are unaware of just how incriminating these videos can really be…

certainly passing videos through phones/data sticks is a lot safer than the t’internet.

also, youtubes quality is utter shite.

you need at least 1.5MB/s transfer rate for something which approaches the quality of VHS, 8MB/s for DVDs, a mini DV video is 25MB/s….

do it properly if you want to make rave videos (but even then be careful what you pass around, if houses get raided feds quite often look for “home videos”)

i think i went to tht party, and u couldnt really hear the music outside the actual part where the music was and it was no where near were houses could hear it anyway. an i reckon it was the old lady i saw walk in there with her dog. she walked in concerned and then stormed out looking rather cross HAHAHAHA. didnt here about no motor bike crash though although they where riding around onone may have been when i left

Urm i think i was being quite general with the word “kids”, not all are bad at all. Infact i have met a few decent 18yr olds who are probably more mature than me :weee:

too right! us 18 year olds are the best… not sure about more mature times with us… but definatly fun ones!

and its really scary the wide variety of ways technology is being used… youtube in the news is a little worrying, but i guess i shouldnt have been so surprised really…
