  • You guys should try living in Aberdeen, with the most variable weather patterns I’ve ever come across. In the average day, I can wake up in the morning, peek round the curtains, see a cloudless beautiful day and decide to stick some shorts and a tshirts on with the intention of lying in the grass drinking beer all afternoon. No sooner have I got outside and it’s snowing. This will last anywhere between 5 minutes and half an hour. Cue gorgeous sunny skies again (but no lying in the grass cause its soaked by this point), followed by breezes which pick up into gales by dinnertime. Hail after dinner, then some more sun and then maybe some har coming in from the sea. Wake up the next morning and theres groundfrost everywhere. I’m only glad that I live next to campus or I’d be forever being caught in the rain wearing my hawaiian shirt and sandals or be shuffling about in the sun in a raincoat and boots.

But hey, at least it makes chatting about the weather more interesting!

bah – the weather machine is still broken…I blame the BBC, they are draining the power with their new 3D weather map…..

I was uploading pics from my digital camera today; and before my new pics came picasa was on a collection from this time last year… I definitely remember that party being really warm on the ridgeway….

yet UK tek was cold and windy (yes I know its Wales but there must be a summer sometime over there?)

admittedly its warming up but temp is dropping to single figures at night and the good weather is midweek (when we are all mostly stuck in the offices) with another temperature drop at the weekend?

    anyone know any weather spells?
